Hunny, I'm getting really worried about you... Please can you reply? Just to let me know you're conscious.

Sorry m'dear... Just because the eyes there doesn't always mean I'm paying attention.
I am still conscious. I haven't attended the hospital, I will see about getting checked out on the 'morrow hopefully they won't say anything like "don't fly".
But, I'm seem to be continuing recovering from whatever it was that made me feel so terrible.

Have you got one of those nifty machines that strap to your wrist & take your blood pressure & pulse rate? Because, like you, i'm on heart drugs (Atenolol, plus Aldactone diuretic) & sometimes they actually "control" the BP "too well", ie you get very low blood pressure. It makes you feel really odd, other-worldly, very spaced out. My BP the other day was 87 over 54 yet pulse was 94; normally its around 120 over 80 & pulse is 74....hardly surprising i felt very peculiar!
But once i had a rational explanation for the weirdness i felt calmer. Got some food down me (carbohydrates are best, plus fruit juice)distracted myself with (you guessed it: the internet)& (ho hum) some cigs. Took the readings again an hour or so later & it was getting more normal. Went back to bed. After a couple of hours sleep, it was totally back to normal.
Do talk to your Doc about all this, it sounds like maybe (as with me) you might have a weird blood sugar/stress/adrenalin thing that sometimes messes with the heart meds. If so, it's not actually a major problem so long as you can recognise it & not go into "panic attack" mode: easier said than done, but the nifty machine does help & sometimes you can do a bit of self-medication & adjust your dose temporarily. (yeah, yeah, you're not supposed to do that, but sometimes getting to the doc just isn't practical!)
hope you're feeling better now.

Thanks folks.
I have strange virus-like bacteria that has moved into my lungs depriving me of oxygen, hence the heart-attack like symptoms. I have antibiotics and some other stuff.
Milla I shall e mail you.

Yep.
I've popped over to Copenhagen for the little moot there. I found Christiania quite interesting. And bought myself something at one of the souvenir shops at the central station. I'm thinking I might pop back later today. But I'm not sure how much I'll see as I feel very rough right now. I feel like someone is kindly hammering nails into my skull, my sinuses are running and I find it hard to walk or even stand I feel so short of oxygen. I don't know if I have respiritory virus or it's the bacteria and side-effects of the antibiotics.
I've really enjoyed my stay in Lund, but the way I feel is starting to get me down.
2 annoying things have happened so far, my sunglasses broke on their first day of use, the day I arrived and my phone somehow connected to the internet and robbed me of all my 20 quids worth of credit.
Y'know when you first arrive in Sweden you really are struck by how lithe and blonde and blue-eyed and attractive seemingly everyone is.
Strange thing every also seems to be emo. Or least everyone under 23 and over 12 is an Emo.

Interesting cultural observations!
It does sound like a virus. Antibiotics normally make the guts feel bad. Hope you recover very soon!

I've medication to protect the stomach from the strength of the antibiotics too.
I went to bed early last night and got up late today, am feeling a little better for it.
Emos, in the skinny fit jeans and the converse plimpsols and the silly looking belts and the floppy hair.

I intend to catch the next bus out to place you mentioned. I hope that will work. The computers here are on a go-slow. It's taken over a quarter of an hour to get to this thread.
