In order to create you must first destroy.
And that is all I feel I can say for now.
[oh, and i am safe]

I couldn't stop crying from the moment I woke up today. So I cut my arm a little. I was punishing myself for past mistakes. I may never forgive myself for them, but I don't have to repeat them, I don't have to make my future as full of hurt as I made my past.

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Oct 11, 2006
I haven't cut my arm off!
Don't worry, it's just a minor lapse. A blip. And is in no way something you should feel responsible for.
It's really better that I should turn some emotional hurt into something physical. Because I wasn't dealing with it in my head. Now I can start dealing with it properly and get some perspective on it without bursting into tears and hating myself.

You know, when I read on the other thread that you smoked today, I thought: I'd rather you smoke than cutiing yourself. You really should consider smoking as someting bad you're doing to yourself, because that's what it is, after all.

I've tended to regard them as tools. But. I am aware that they aren't one's that can be used without consequence.
And. I have cared for too many people that harm themselves not to know what it's like to see someone do it.
Smoking is I think without doubt the most dmaging of the two tools. I hadn't smoked for a week until this rather bad day. I shall go longer next time.

I'm gonna watch Det Sjunde Inseglet and have a nice tikka and get some rest.

Milla, h2g2 Operations Posted Oct 12, 2006
Det sjunde inseglet, huh... Shouldn't you be watching something funny instead?
at Tikka...
Do rest. You'll feel better for it.

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Oct 12, 2006
It is funny! It's full of little gags and sage observations, that's part of what makes it such a great film.
My tikka was nice, thank you.
I'm off to the sinny to see a fim that isn't 50 years young.

I've tried watching it, but never got very far any of the times I tried. Maybe because they insist on sending it very late in the evening... Perhaps I should see it proper once, then?
I wastched ( keyboard!) watched Bandidas a few nights ago - very light, stupid mexican bank and trainrobbery thing with women as the bandits... the odd slug at America, as it ought, but generally just a laugh, and not a very intelligent laugh at that. Weird. But I liked it nevertheless.
What are you watching today?`
Olethros.
Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Oct 13, 2006
Bandidas: I'd not heard of it but Salma Hayak and Penelope Cruz in a film a writen by Luc Besson sounds like something I'd be prepared to try.
I saw The Departed, which is a US version of Hong Kong's Infernal Affairs. It did manage to capture the humour of East Asian thrillers brilliantly, but it lacked for much thrill and wasn't terribly enaging black comedy aside. Even Jack Nicholson wasn't quite as watchable as pretty much always is. The asian films manage to capture humour and grit and be sleek and stylish all at once. I s'pose in fairness The Departed is something of Departure from most Hollywood fare.
I also watched Hoodwinked, was amusing in parts and unlike most kids films I've seen recently is probably more fun for kids than it is adults.

And. Yes I think you certainly should watch Det Sjunde Inseglet the whole way through. I'd say it was a humourous, charming and intelligent classic. Just 'cause it's about Death doesn't make it Grim.

I didn't realise how much it hurt those around me to know what I'd done to myself until I saw the signs of it on the body of one that I care about.

Same here.
Hi, Azathoth. Thanks for the emails, and sorry I didn't reply. I haven't been quite myself lately. You're always welcome to use me as an information receptacle, though!
