smiley - goodluck at the DLA approval / renewal!

Time windows... is it OK if the visit falls anywhere within the dates previously mentioned? 19-29 june?

I have no clue to Ryanairs strategies, sorry... maybe if you monitor a date not too long from now, and see where the prices are going, you could see if there is a trend. Personally, I have a suspicion they feed the numbers into an improbability generator...

Clearly doable. WOuld that be Malmö airport (Sturup) or trainstation (Malmö south/svågertorp or Malmö Central)?

I'm OK. Yourself?

Sturup. Sorry for the ambiguity.

I'm not too bad.
Just aware that losing anything loved be it a person, pet or pebble can really knock a person for six.
I've lost cats to the road, ducks to mink (bloody animal liberation movement), dogs to old age and even lost a pony to a lightening strike over the years. Loved them all, but each death affected me slightly differently.

Yeah, the cat is a sad story, but I've lost pets before... The children seem to do OK too. We all miss her, but it's not breaking us.

Thanks for clarification. I assume that the price came down a little then?

Well, I can't back out now, the tickets have been bought. For the *original* dates discussed. 19th to 29th.
The prices came down too something more affordable yesterday.
I had pay £7.80 Wheelchair Insurance or some such weirdness. Ryanair or Con-Air? Hoom.
I need to plant some trees or something. I feel a bit of hypocrite burning all that aviation fuel, even though I know that plane will be taking off whether or not I get on it and it's governments inaction not my action that is problematic.

I'm sur ethere was something else I was gonna say when started out but I've gone blank for now...

Hello my friend!

I have some news - not really bad, but slightly bad timing... I will have to go to UK on the 20-21 june to w*rk. This is just for information, I don't mean you to change anything. The rest of the family are at home - Husband even got vacation! and the children have just started their summer holidays, so you will not be alone, just without me for two days.

Let's try to think of amusements you may want to occupy yourself with - historical? amusement parks? museums? art? Just wandering in town?

And then of course, preparation for the midsummer thing.

I believe I was interested in the Museum of Public Art and the Medieval Museum. I think I had trouble accessing the other sites and/or what other sites I could get info out of didn't capture my interest. Are those two actually as local as I thought? But yes, museums, parks galleries random wandering around alternative or interesting bits of town or markets.

The Kulturen is in Lund (Cultural history of Sweden, but very varied), Konsthallen too (new exhibitions all the time), there's a History museum (never been there, but let's find out opening times). There used to be an underground museum around the ruins of a medieval church, will check if it's opened again. I'm not sure which museums you mention, do you have their Swedish names?

Time to get a guidebook!!

The Museum of Sketches of Public Art I think is it's proper name in English, I believe it has sculpture garden unless I'm mistaken that I though might be interesting.
The Medieval Museum is I think the one you mention.
The Kulturen certainly seems fascinating and the Konsthall could be interesting. I still haven't had a proper look at the rest of the sites of interest.
Tanks again for the package. The chewie sweets were great. And I've been using the peppar. Haven't broken in the slice yet...

How are you m'dear? It's ages since you posted that.

Ah, the sketch museum smiley - winkeye I never went through it all, because, when I've gone, it's been to concerts, and they closed it off for the musicians...

I think, that Lund may actually have some nice sights after all!

I am well, thanks. The children have their birthdays this month (13 and 9, smiley - yikes) and dad, and grandma (85!) and two weddings, and dinners with friends, and inlaws... So not much time to myself, which might be just as well. Took an 8 km walk with Son just tonight, what a trooper! We enjoyed the forest greatly, but he wasn't completely at ease, because the paths were unknown to him. I've walked that track ten times or so, so I don't need the track signs any longer.

Get slicing with the cheese now!

'I think, that Lund may actually have some nice sights after all!'

I'm sure this is the case and I'm sure there's more than the ones mentioned.
Did you get an impression of the Sketch museum as being interesting? It seemed 'different' to me.

That sounds quite hectic to me. But I'm not used to having too much going on.

Why do you say it might be just as well?

smiley - hug I really should get some rest...

I really like the Sketch museum! The little I've seen is very good, and some from really great artists. (Chagalls church (or synagogue?) windows, and even the model for the original Roundabout Dog!

Just as well- to keep me from brooding. It's not alarming, but it's personal, so I won't say more here. Perhaps when we meet, perhaps not, as it involves more people than me. Don't worry. It probably sounds worse to you than it is. It's just better not to think too much about it.

I let husband know that you are interested in the art museums - he knows more of art than I do, so you may have a shared interest there. smiley - smiley

smiley - cuddle Then I shan't be alarmed.

Excellent, then shall you be accompanying me to the Sketch museum?
The prototype roundabout dog. I have to get a picture of that as proof of having seen it.

I know next to nothing about art. I'm terribly ignorant.

I'd love to go with you, and I hope to get the whole family round for it. I'll just have to check opening hours, and perhaps skivvy off work for an hour or five... (one more likely, I don't think it's really huge). If not, you know, husband is on vacation, so is home with kids during your stay.
