So... I asked my GP some weeks ago now about donating blood and as expected he said I couldn't because the blood service here is, in his woulds "so far up it's own behind". However I can be an organ donor upon death and I can donate bone marrow if they take me off my meds for 3 days before taking it.
So, I'm applying to be registered as a donor with the Anthony Nolan Trust. And maybe I'll be able to help someone like Stephanie's cousin.

Hey, that's great. I think my husband meant to regiter as a donor of marrow bone, we talked about that not too long ago. I asked him to get those forms for me, too.
I haven't had another message from the red cross yet, no idea when I can try again.
How was Sweden?

Awesome. Visited a few touristy and cultural things is both Sweden and Denmark. Came back souvenirs a stuff. Like cute little moose toggle for my phone.
Really was good to see Milla, just wish I'd hugged her more and maybe more tightly.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Where in Denmark and Sweden did you go? (Not that I'm likely to know the places, my knowledge of geography is poor ).
I'm sure Milla knows just how much you like her, even if you feel you didn't hug her enough.

I stayed in Lund for the most part. All I saw of Malmo was what could seen from a quick walk around the outside of the station. In Denmark I saw some of Copenhagen and Christiania -- a district of the city that likes to think of itself almost like an independent state with it's own laws and social structure.
I got to Copenhagen by taking the train from Lund to Malmo and then the train from there over the Oresund Bridge which crosses the sound between the two countries.
Perhaps.

I've never been to Christiania, or at least, I don't recall if I have. From what I've seen in magazines and on tv, it must be picturesque. I think the last time I went to Copenhagen I was about ten years old. My mother speaks Danish and has good friends in Denmark, and we had family there, so we went to Denmark regularly when I was a child.

Oh yes, much of it is very picturesque with rustic or attractively run down buildings.
The food court area was far from attractive to my senses. And they sold Coke there, which seemed to clash against what I perceived be their... "manifesto" for lack of a better word.
They had many stalls that were heaving with an overwhelming array of pipes and other smoking accessories. They also had items of jewelery that were tempting.
I also saw "Put & Take" stalls for people to exchange clothing which seemed a cool idea.
My favourite experience in Copenhagen though, was spending some hours at the top of Vor Frelser Kirke, it was so peaceful up there and the views were inspiring. Heck of climb up up the winding steps to the top, 90 meters above the city.
You could see Malmo 10 kilometers away on the other side of The Oresund Sound.

Sounds as if you had a good time then, all in all.
I remember that we went to Tivoli, and I guess we saw the marmaid, but it's too long ago to remember details.

The book and CDs arrived yesterday.
Wonderful music, thanks for sending it.
I started reading right away, it's great.
Thanks again, it's so generous of you.

Oh, good. I was begging to wonder where they'd got to.
I'm glad you like it all. I'm sorry the book had little scuff on it, I'm not sure how that got there, it was safely stored in a box of soft toys.
You're welcome!

I haven't noticed any scuff, maybe you're confusing it?
Which reminds me that I really should make an effort sending the Voodoo on, which I still haven't managed.
I've told my son to read the dadadedada book as soon as I've finished. He's not so good at English but I think he should manage to understand most of it - and have fun.

Not unless I've sent the wrong book. Which I've not.
Aye, that copy Voodoo is mightily scuffed. Who did you have in mind for it, I forget if you've said before?
Ah, good tis always a fine thing to corrupt young minds.

I promised to send it to lil. One of these days, I will manage.
He stopped taking English at school because he never got along with his teachers, he's not much of a talker, and not much of a writer, so his marks were always bad. But he does read the odd English book, and I want to support that. So what's better than giving him something that's really good?

I took Froggish at school instead of German to avoid the two teachers that covered it in the GCSE years.
Tis a good thing to encourage and I'll not fault your choice of material.
