Good good. Whilst I'm aware that other people can get enthused about them. It has always been beyond my ability to properly empathise and understand it too... These Ghias seem handsome.

Yes, they do. I guess I have annoyed TR by saying that a two seater isn't of any use smiley - rofl

Hello, I've been smiley - brave and faced the chaos - otherwise known as kitchen cupboard to look for the sheet with the Amaranth recipes - and I found it. smiley - magic
It's not much, though. They give a basic recipe (boiling in plain water), to have as side dish; a description how it's puffed; a veggie recipe withh carrots and leek, a cookie recipe, a recipe for pancakes and a recipe for sweets.
If you're interested in any or all of these, just tell me, and I'll try to translate. smiley - ok

No, I still haven't got an email - don't think I will, though.

Well, I'll start with the recipes the:
Basic recipe:

Ingredients:

200 Amaranth, 3/4 l water.

Method:

Give both into a pot, then have it boil. Put a lid on the pot, then boil on a low flame for 20 minutes.
Switch the hob off, let well for another 20 minutes. Stir and serve as side dish.

Amaranth-vegetable stew

Ingredients:

200g Amaranth, 3/4 l water, margarine, 3 carrots, three bars of leek, ca 100g seasonal vegetables, thyme or other dried herbs (chopped), some salt, a teaspoon marmite.

Method:

Prepare Amaranth as in the basic recipe. Clean and cut the veggies, steam them in a frying pan. Give to the Amaranth. Spice all, switch off hob, let well for another 10 minutes.

More next time. smiley - smiley

Good. smiley - smiley I'll have you know, though, that I never tested any of these recipes. I cooked a few others, though, with other grains, and they were fantastic, so I'm positive these should work fine, too.

Goood. smiley - biggrin

I don't know about the UK, here, any measures given in
recipes usually are thought to feed four people, if not deliberately said otherwise.

Hello. smiley - smiley
Actually tis an iMac. I was being indecisive about whether to stick with a PC or try something new to me. And in the end went with the Mac. Partly because I heard such good stuff about their being reliable and virus free and built to last. Also iMacs are rather pretty...
However now I kinda wish I'd've gone with an effectively disposable PC.

Aha! The Dance of the Voodoo Handbag is dancing it's way across the globe again. Huzzah!smiley - magic

I'll be interested to know what you make of it once you had a chance to give it a read. Rankin is a little different.smiley - biggrin

I've read the first three chapters, and I find it hilarious. The last time I laughed so much was when reading Tom Sharpe (the author).
From what I've seen and heard about iMacs, I wouldn't want one, if I'm honest. Although they do seem to be reliable, and less likely to catch a virus and stuff, but there are so many things I'm used to run on a PC, which a Mac does not do, or do very differently, I don't think I'd have the energy to learn it.

Yayage! I'm pleased you're enjoying it.

Aye, I'd happily switch back to PC right now. But, sadly I don't think I'm entitled to a refund, but if they don't repair it properly this time around I'm demanding a replacement of equal value or full refund and they'll have to find some large policeman to remove from the shop if they thinking of turning me down because I want be leaving without one or t'other.

Yes, and rightly so. After all, you have paid for a longer warranty, so that really should 'pay' now. smiley - goodluck

I hadn't been sure I'd made the right choice by buying the extended warranty. If these things are going to fail they tend to do it sooner rather than later or so I had heard said. I rather felt I'd been suckered into the insurance "con". But, it's so often the case with my acquisitions, particularly the expensive ones, that they go just after the first year and it seems this one is no exception.

Now that you mention it I recall getting that from time to time back when I was part of the ACE scheme.

It's funny, isn't it? Whenever I get that feeling, I ask another ACE if I'm alone with tghis or not. Mostly, I'm not. On the other hand, there isn't anything that we could/would do about it anyway, is there?
