Whose babies are you and where's the formula????
Posted Oct 23, 2005
Made up for my sleep-deficit today and slept until 1pm or so....
The dream involved being left with two tiny babies (and I mean tiny) and had to take them with me somewhere. I have no idea whose babies they were and why I was left with responsibility for them. I was at some sort of outdoor event and had a lot of stuff to carry but had to decide what I could caryy and could not be left for fear of it being stolen while I went off to a house (Mine? Someone else's? Who knows--) to find the babies' clothes and carriers and formula, not to mention bottles, diapers, etc. I kept asking opeople in the house where the family kept the forlmula and got no answers. There was nothing in the cupboards and nothing in the fridge... No bottles...
I finally found one baby carrier and one Snuggli carrier but couldn't leave without the formula. I was getting very frustrated. Finally I woke but was pretty agitated because there was no resolution in the dream.

Sooooo.... today, when we wnet to pick up my friend's daughter at the Ottawa Schools of Art, I went into the gallery to see an installation piece.
The artist's name is Shane Cooper and the piece is entitles "Reflections". It is pretty neat. I won't go into all the details of it. You can check it out on his website (to follow). After taking a lot of photos, I chatted with him and then we left. I had taken a couple of info sheets on the piece as well as his business card and a bio. When I got home, I read the bio.
Turns out, Shane Cooper is one of the 2D Software Developer and Visual Effects Specialists who worked on "LOTR" and the upcoming film "King Kong"! http://imdb.com/name/nm1152433/ (He is also VERY Yummy!!)

Sunrise, Peter Jennings, gorillas, and a large cheque....
Posted Oct 14, 2005
Sooooo.... I was living in a large loft-like space. It was a red-brick building which appeared to have no stairs to enable you to get in and out. I had to put ladders up whenever I wanted to get in or out and if I had visitors.
There was a beautiful sunrise so I grabbed my camera and dashed out to get some photos. I climbed down this wrought iron structure which appeared to be part of a fire escape. At first it was nice and sturdy. However, it gradually deteriorated and was really rusted and it was hard to find a hand-hold. Parts kept leaning frighteningly under my weight. For some reason, whereas all the other places to put a ladder up were perhaps 8 feet from the ground, this side was quite a number of stories high......
Finally, I reached the ground and trid to find someplace to take some photos from. However, now the sunrise was gone. So I just wandered around to see if I could find something else to take photos of. Suddenly, I noticed some elephants high up above an embankment. They appeared to be standing around a large red-brick building (not mine)... an old school perhaps? I was trying to firgure out what this zoo was. I seemed to be in the past some time because I keopt saying to myself that the Toronto Zoo hadn't been built at this time....
Anyhow, I started walking over to where the elephants were and then noticed that I was in an enclosure with gorillas. They hadn't seen me yet, so I started retracing my steps in hopes of finding a fence to get over before they spotted me. Finally, I found a chain-link fence which I went to climb over. I was worried that it would be electrified but figured I would take my chances. I guess I would prefer to be electrocuted thatn jumped upon by a bunch of gorillas...
Luckily, it was not electrified and I climbed over. I recall being concerned that if I could climb over the fence so could some gorillas. I got over the fence and made my way to a very high wall which was made from 4X4s. I climbed up to the top.
(Somewhere in the preceding time, a famous newscaster, I am thinking it was Peter Jennings, though I didn't particularly like him. He told me that I had joined a group of people who had invested some money in a lottery or something. He gave me several hundrd dollars of winnings.)
Sooooo... I reached the top of the wall but the 4X4s at the top were either rotting or not properly staked into each other and they keep coming away in my hands. I was calling to passers by to help me but either they ignored me of stood staring at me. Some people tried to help by giving me advice when all I needed was someone to grab my hand and pull me over.
There was another famous news caster.... I have no idea who.... just one of the more famous ones. He was filming me trying to climb over the top and asking me questiong (none related to my predicament). I kept begging him to help me but he just kept filming and asking questions.
Before I finally managed to get over the top, Peter Jennings came by and dropped off another cheque, this time it was for $3712.00. He dropped it onto the top of the wall and said "Thanks for coming into it with us!" (meaning, I guess the scheme). He then walked away. For some reason I wasn't tiked off that he, too, had not helped me over. I guess the money gave me the incentive to climb over.
Finally, I guess someone must have helped me because I was next in my house. The famous newscaster who wouldn't help me was there. He kept congratulating me on having gotten over the wall. I was so mad at him that I was screaming at him and throwing things at him. He couldn't understand why I was angry....

Yet again, someone has sent me one of those emails that makes the rounds. "AOL/Netscape/Pepsi/Microsoft/etc./etc./ will send you money if you send this email to everyone you know"...."
Invariably, it opens with the line "I don't usually send these emails on..... BUT..... my friend is a lawyer/doctor/policeman/etc./etc./ and he/she told me it is true...."
Why, oh why, fo people not use their brains before wasting their time and mine my sending me this cr@p?
I only they would take a moment to wonder why Bill Gates/Nike/Elvis would send them money and if it is at all possible for anyone to track your emails to send you money. Well, of course, they can't.... If ONLY they would take 3 minutes to search snopes.com. The one I received look less time than that and was the very first entry that popped up.
