Well. Update.

Not really an update, more of a ramble about the options ahead of me.

1. Stay with my sister and put an extension on the house.

2. Move in with mum and dad and perhaps get a bigger place.

3. Get a place with my Aunt.

4. Move abroad.

I spoke with my mum last night about one of the possibilities. I've spoken to her a lot over the last couple of months, just trying to see what my options are.

I'm not going to do anything drastic and certainly not at the moment, but I am leaning towards the option of moving abroad. I could get a sponsor in Oz but do I really want to move that far away? Not sure yet.

The other options was to move to Bahrain. I have family there, but as my mum pointed out, I would be very restricted in what I could do and where I could go, so I think thats out of the question.

I don't think, to be honest, that I could stay with my sister or even move back with mum, on a permanent basis. My Aunt seems to like her independence, so I don't even think that's an option.

You see, I don't want to be on my own. I like having company even if I don't say much. Just that person in the same room makes the room full of life even if we're just vegged out in front of the TV.

I think I need to do a lot more thinking.

Thinking's good. Thinking about what to do next is even better. I've been doing that for years now - with no obvious conclusion yet, but I might get there one day.

Even if none of the options you've identified so far are ideal, they are at least options. It's good to have options and think about them because they might trigger something else.

And if you do come down here, we can at least do lunch.

I can't imagine you'd cramp anyone's style, and having someone share the bills is worth putting up with their annoying little habits (for some)

You're doing the right thing by doing nothing until you've thought it through, this is a big thing for you to decide so take all the time you need

4. Move abroad.


Cotswolds are nice and quite foriegn, english is widely spoken now, like us they on the whole drive on the left, the shops are same too

...or go camping in your aunt garden/balcony

How about Wales?

Could be a bit of a culture shock, though.

For what it's worth, just take your time, don't make any rash decisions that you may regret later.
I'd suggest concentrate on your new job, find yourself a nice affordable pad and think about yourself for a while. Try to have some fun and build up a social life again.

I know of a country where they drive on the left, speak English, where the weather in some parts is amazing and where they have some of the best biking roads in the world along with beautiful scenery. Oh and it's easy-ish to travel between there and Chester. Oh and house prices aren't too bad there either.

Also if you stay with VC and build an extension then it will add value to their house so even if you move on later they'll be better off.

Just think about it all carefully and don't rush your decision.

Take your time,think, and take it easy for now..don't rush!!

err! you could put a caravan on back of bike and tour the country

Get yourself a small house - ok a very small house (http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com/houses/) and move it about as the urge takes you)

BTW, we also drive on the left and speak English in South Africa and we force ourselves to endure about 360 sunny motorcycling days per year...
