Well...what a weekend!!!

Saturday, 26th August

G dropped me off at my grandad's house. We kissed and said goodbye to each other and then he set off home where he was meeting his parents and sister for a meal.

I, in the meantime, had tea at grandad's along with my Aunt and Uncle (brother and sister, not husband and wife), then we opened the wine.

After three bottles (of which Grandad had the most), it was time to go to bed . I nearly pee'd myself laughing as I watched grandad stagger and sway to the door. My Uncle didn't know which way to go just in case Grandad fell over


Sunday, 27th August

I awoke at 5.00am. Went outside for a smoke, then had a coffee. Went back into the living room and sat down on the chair. My Aunt was still asleep on the blow up bed so I left her be. Next thing I know it was 7.30am. I'd falled asleep

The hairdresser should have been here at 8.30am, but at 8.50am she still wasn't there. 10 minutes later, she arrived and we set off getting everyones hair done. Aunt was first, then we waited around for VC to turn up for her hair to be done.

VC turned up and so did the make up lady. Aunt had her make up done whilst VC had her hair done. Then it was my turn for the hair whilst VC had her make up done.

When having my make up done, the car turned up...PANIC!!!!! The make up lady didn't hurry though. Once I was done, I ran upstairs and my Aunt helped me get ready. The last thing I put on were my nanna's pearls.

My grandad took my hand and we got into the car. The journey took about 15 minutes, and as you can guess, I was 10 minutes late Everyone was outside as I arrived and there were loads of photo's. I cried. Then it was time for everyone to go inside.

My dad asked if I was ok and ready, I said yes.

We began to walk towards the door of the room we were getting married in and I could see everyone looking at me. I was really fighting back the tears now. My chin was wobbling as I was smiling.

I got the the alter and G looked so handsome!!!!

Before I knew it, we were married. I really cannot describe the feeling during the ceremony. It was a culmination of feelings that were so intense, to attempt to describe them would be futile.

Then, after the ceremony, off we went for the photo's. 2 hours later we were done...as was my hair!

I chatted with TB, pheloxi, Prof and ST. It was great they were there. Even G said it added a lovely touch to the ceremony that they were there.

The meal was lovely. I was so full, I couldn't manage pudding!

Well...the evening do.

I must admit that I can't remember too much about the evening do. I wasn't drunk. I was just in so much of a tiz. Running around speaking to everyone...and dancing with Ivan too!

Before we knew it, it was time to go home. I'd arranged for G's parents to come home with me because G as so far gone I knew I'd have problems with him. They helped me get everything in and they set off home in the taxi. In the meantime, I had to walk the dog in my evening dress (I had to get changed out of my wedding dress...I couldn't breathe!!!).

When I got back, G was flat out on the bed, so I went back downstairs and began opening the cards. I couldn't stop smiling at how many cards we got.... 42!!!!!!! (No kidding, mum can could them when she comes up to see me).

People have also been so generous too! We have plent of vouchers and money to help set up the house. We've gone from a 1 bed house to a 3 bed house with a dining room, so we have so many rooms to fill now!

I do have to say that the most touching present we got was from TB. Don't get me wrong, the money will come in so useful, but TB's present was of a photo from Scotland. It is a beautiful landscape and he'd taken the photo himself with a purple filter over it and he'd had it framed too. So touching

Bel...I have yet to see one photo of the wedding. Can those with piccies on their computer, can you e-mail them to me?!
