Final Fantasy III (US) Over
(July 24, 2004)

The game has been beat.
After twenty-seven hours
and a single tear.

Characters I love
have been through it all with me;
and now we part ways.

A near perfect game
but like all great things in life
it comes to an end.

Untitled
(June 19, 2004)

A beautiful day:
green grass and friendly sun.
I don’t give a (crap).

Accidents happen
but you can’t let that stop you.
I live without fear.

First poop in three days.
An abdominal workout
and a clogged toilet.

Try to sneak upstairs
careful not to wake Bruno.
All of my joints crack.

Later and later
each night my bedtime inches
later and later.

FF3 Haiku. June 18, 2004

Final Fantasy 3 Character Haiku
(June 18, 2004)

SETZER:
Dashing gambler.
A deck of cards, pair of dice…
Weapons in his hands.

TERRA:
The green haired beauty.
Magic is a toy to her,
thanks to Esper genes.

LOCKE:
It isn’t stealing
if you “find” it on a corpse.
It’s treasure hunting.

EDGAR:
Zany engineer.
All the monsters run in fear
When the chainsaw starts.

SABIN:
Martial arts master.
With clenched fists he unleashes…
The “Bum Rush Technique.”

SHADOW:
Out of ninja stars?
Everything is a weapon
if thrown hard enough.

MOG:
A simple Moogle?
Set foot in his dance floor;
you will understand.

CYAN:
Master of the blade.
Slowly and deliberately
winning my battles.

RELM:
Such realism,
a talented young artist.
Don’t provoke her sketch.

GAU:
A boy raised by beasts.
Ferocious like a tiger,
fearless like a child.

CELES:
Imperial pawn,
saw the error of her ways.
On the right path now.

STARGO:
An ancient wizard
with his own brand of magic.
Sporting a Mohawk.

GOGO:
A jack of all trades.
A man of many talents.
But none of his own…

I Think I Got It
(June 17, 2004)

The bureaucracy...
Maybe I will be employed
before the school year.

Second Interview Tomorrow
(June 16, 2004)

My loving parents
always offering their help—
Nothing but trouble.

A petty attempt
and a terrible failure
at early bed-time.

Early interview?
Might as well stay up all night…
Thinking wishfully.

Late night bathroom break.
I pee in my weak toilet
to find it is clogged.
