Computer Cleaning
(July 6, 2004)
The dream of a dog.
Unmistakably smiling.
Go get her Bruno.
Twitching in my bed
with the occasional growl.
Running in his dreams.
Feels like Seattle;
it's been raining forever;
but how would I know?
Clean my computer;
along with it, cleanse my soul.
Sweet accomplishment.
My computer says:
deleting nine thousand files.
A sigh of relief.

J-O-B
(July 5, 2004)
Russian liquor store.
Great job opportunity!
…under the table…
All my happy friends
are so excited for me!
My debts can be paid.
No more depression;
at least not until school starts.
Then it starts anew.

Why I Hate Tilsen’s
(July 3, 2004)
Sweat drips off my brow
as I sit in the kitchen.
Unwanted sauna.
Coping with the heat
a sharp pain on my elbow.
Furry razorblade.
Refrigerator:
only beer and leftovers.
None of it for me.
Who's stoned and who's not;
it's a game I like to play
at the Tilsen home.
Meg busts up our game
and she tells me to shut up.
Have some respect jerk!

Summer Life
(July 1, 2004)
Each day seems longer
in the summer suns routine.
I feel my life waste
Went to bed early.
Awake and alert at four…
Should have known better.

Kinko’s F****d Me
(July 25, 2004)
Depression sets in.
"We put hiring on hold,"
and we ruined your life.
Kinko's has to burn.
I ponder the logistics
as I drink some tea.
I am giving up.
Good job, job market, you win.
My spirit broken.
