In memory of the fallen
A poem in memory of those we have lost
Those who have fallen in a noble cause
Those who died even in there sleep
For all these people I know we do weep
In memory of those who are with us no more
May or memories of them not be sore
Though they have died now and are no longer here
They wouldn't want us living in mortal fear
For those who were taken without the worlds consent
For those who’s fate surely wasn’t meant
To fall unto darkness now away from strife
We will remember you for the rest of our life
To those lost be they old or new
We will remember no matter what we do
While there is life there always will be the other
Yet we do morn for our sister and or brother
Ode unto the fallen and ode unto us
Let us remember an ode unto them
Or is this a requiem?

it came into my head a few days ago... 
i know the poem dosnt do any justice to the fellings of those that were most effected but... I dont know... it was something i felt i had to write

it was a rather somber poem, not my normal style but at least its something

Why are we talking about being paid for poems on this thread?It seems a bit cheap and insensitive to me.

I wrote a poem to pay my respects,
but life goes on despite there tragedy,
I was talking about getting payed for poems because life does go on,
and despite things like this we all have to live,

Just finished a book where one of the sub plots was the vicar's wife who wrote erotic books was trying to get rid of some of hher money by buying a racehorse
Absolutly nothing to do with this but it's a good book if you like sex & horses saga's
