Well I really looked forward to having Biology lessons anyway
amazingly I still passed the exam...
so its not as though i had the wrong priorities
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
I passed all my exams... ok except maybe one when I was at uni, but is 2/20 so bad... ok so it was... but I was so stressed I just had a mental block on everything... mainly because that was about the time I was wanting to leave Uni but was too scared to say so
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
well its a fear to admit you made a mistake, scared that you will be called a coward...
So many stick Uni out and hate very minute of it, but are too afraid to say...

I know that meny people go in thinking that they must see it to the end
as though it is a thing they will get one chance at
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
it just gets a bit more expensive in the end...
But I thin they should definately push the modern apprentices and other skilled labour jobs more... as thats where we need the most people... Uni isn't always essential for everyone...

I know, there are a lot of trades that go ignoed because of the lure of univercity,
the amout plumbers and electritions and blacksmiths even, get payed and yet no-one go'es into those traids
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
thast because they think themselves intellectuals....
I know a single plumber and thats about it... people don't seem to relise that they may think they are smart and the best, but when you get into a room of 200 people that were the best at their colleges too, then you really aren't anything special.. not really

Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it! Posted Nov 7, 2004
yeah... you may have had the skill to get that far but it gets a lot harder a lot faster, and you dont have someone pushing you along like the teachers did at school...
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
They don't spoon feed you like they do at most school... stuffing all the info you will need down your throats...
anyways a skilled electrician can work when he wants and charge waht he wants...

Yes as can plumbers and other such trades
school is comforting but it dosnt prepair you for how hard it would be at uni
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
I know they can... there is a lot of moeny to be had there... I don't understand why so many people will go to uni and then end up in a poorly paid job anyways,,,
Especially not if you go at 17...

Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it! Posted Nov 7, 2004
well so meny people look down on the trades without realising that there better lines of work to get into
Yeah... esspessually not at 17 or 18 or... meny meny ages if you havent lived in the real world for long
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
I can't say what I'll end up in yet, although it will probabily end up being a trade
Some of the guys at college are 16 and think they ae all that... I look at them and see they are lacking in so much experience, theya re stll but yet babes
I confess!
Dr Anthea - ah who needs to learn things... just google it! Posted Nov 7, 2004
Yeah there is a lot of call for people in a trade too
all 16 year old boys are like that in my experiance
I confess!
Khamsin Posted Nov 7, 2004
I know there is, the building undustry need hard working indivuals, who are willing to do an honest days work
I'm sure not all 16 year old guys are like that...
