No even I'm not a fan of Hersheys. I had heard that until the 70s or early 80s(no specific time period mentioned), that Hersheys contained only 11% cocoa solids. Eleven because the American FDA-or food & drug administration stipulated that
products contain a minimum of 10...11 is still very minimal in my opinion. I have recently tried their new better quality bars - they're being forced(by their numerous competitors)to improve their product.
The Dutch that I ate for years is Droste http://www.droste.nl/data/content/engels/index.php ...& yes the pastilles as shown. Recently I've found
'sticks'(much like
cigarettes)made by a Dutch company called Rademaker - oddly I can't find their site
http://www.gourmetofoldcity.com/rachst.html <but that's them.
Ah yes sharing is always good!

The Rademaker sticks look quite similar to Nestle Matchmakers
I've checked the Galaxy contents - a minimum of 25% cocoa solids
I do remember being a tad worried when the EU regulations threatened Cadbury's
which is pretty
regardless of the cocoa content.
Slightly off topic, in one of my er moments I joined a forum where most of the members were a bunch of young people from Hershey PA

Ah yes, I should've assumed that Nestle had a comparable product.
If you click 'news and events' on that Kerstin's website( http://www.kerstinschocolates.com )& then scroll down you can watch her appearance on local TV(a morning programme, the 'BT' stands for breakfast television). Among other things she explains that milk is usually about 30 to 33%. So I think 25% is quite respectable.
Hmm Hershey Pennsylvania...originally a factory town for the employees of Milton Hershey's rather fledgling empire(of sorts). A bit odd...your joining that forum, nothing too unusual though.

One of my favourite Nestle products is the Walnut whip They used to do one with
flavoured cream in the centre.
There is a certain etiquette to be followed when eating one - bite the walnut off and a piece of off the top, then lick all of the cream out of the middle before attempting to eat the rest of the
without getting too messy
How is jaz'd's Sunday going? Mine started off windy, turned rainy and was very busy in between

Sunday is going quite nicely so far, bit of a lie-in(actually more than expected). The weather seems alright, partly cloudy & a bit on the cool side(but that's very good for mid-Nov.)
I'll certainly have to watch for any previously undiscoverd Nestle products, as I'm sure most any & all will be out for the holidays. Something I've been fond of since I discovered them are a truffle made by a German who relocated here in Canada - http://www.truffini.com Oh & last year I had stumbled on a French
that was a bit of a rare find( http://www.eurogrocer.com/page/E/PROD/chocolate/1196 ). The retailer who had them is a bit of a clearance/discount store - http://www.winners.ca - with American connections. Occasionally they get
, etc that's not ordinarily seen in this area. For example this past week I found some Spanish Valor- http://www.valor.es & Bissinger's triple
drinking
.
*sigh*But I think I'm in need of & likely something more substantial as well

Hmm I suppose it does qualify as Nestle for the most part since it is a fairly recent Nestle acquisition. I bought some individually-wrapped Baci today(Mon.). They're still Italian made I believe & are dark filled with a hazelnut cream(also hazelnut flakes/chips). And I think a rather distinctly anatomical(feature) appearance.

Distinct lack of here the past few days
In fact I've been unable to get in the kitchen to eat much at all due to work being done!
The lack of (or maybe just food
) is making me feel a bit light headed tonight

Oh dear! As if a lack of
wasn't bad enough...food too!!
I can share some virtual
...a bit of an 'any port in a storm' gesture, I suppose.

I was very good and left the machine alone yesterday.
However, today I've had a Bounty bar and some
cake - my Dad brought it round so it would have been wrong not to

Ohwrong indeed! Obviously it was brought round for a reason,
just my
but it would be rather tragic to just ignore that. (Oh the poor neglected
s of the world!
)

It was a sort of thank you The next one I plan to make myself - the Christmas cake
You like reggae too? I like old stuff mostly - 60s and 70s

Yes I do like reggae(& prefer older stuff too, mostly)...of course-like most anything-some more than others. Black Uhuru is an old favourite...if you listen to online, there's a huge online mega-station in Chicago http://www.accuradio.com that has a variety of reggae. You'll need to register, but that's free - & they have a R-e-a-l diverse selection of music!
I bought some Cadbury Thins today, the Mint Chip & the Premium Dark. I quite like the Mint Chip!

I managed to listen without registering...
Thanks for that. I'll have a browse of other types of another time

Ah ok, no problem! Far be it from me to deprive one of their beverage of choice...I just tried a new
& have another new one to sample(fortunately it's a decaf, so I will get to sleep without too much trouble).

The was for someone else

Oh well I wouldn't deprive them either.
And the great thing I found when I used it, is that you can set your personal tastes. For instance block out a particular artist, or simply skip a song(a bit like fast-forwarding a tape).

has been given the push at the moment. Hot
and brandy (not together!) are *helping* my cold
Do you have advent calendars over there? My daughters both have Cadbury's ones
