Me.
I don't really find it very easy to sum up myself in prose. Officially, I'm an 18 year old (male) student, currently studying Computer Science at Warwick University (which isn't in Warwick), and generally enjoying life. After all, that's what it's there for, isn't it?
Unofficially, I'm a dreamer. Generally I like playing out novels and stories of my own devising inside my head, or imagining short little ego-boosting scenes, or simply playing about with various characters. I also enjoy coding, and tinkering. Especially tinkering. It's just so much fun to mess about with things, customising them and fiddling constantly. Fortunately most of this happens in software, so I can keep everything in a relatively nice and tidy state. Oh, and my ego is quite large, even if I rarely show it (I hope). But, I'm really quite a nice person. No, really!
So how do I view life, beside something to be enjoyed. A tricky question, but, in my humble opinion, life, conscious thought especially, is wonderful. Better than wonderful. I am me. I am self aware. I can have thoughts about my thoughts about my thoughts. I'm a fractal complexity of sentience. And I'm fed with senses that look upon an infinitely interesting world. Ever stopped to examine, say, a ordinary quartz watch? Time kept by a small, uniquely formed crystal, connected to a substance housed between two plastics that is neither a solid, liquid, or gas. It's an ordinary object, but think of how much civilisation contributes to it. All those tiny, separate parts that, when you consider it, seems almost like something from a cheesy sci-fi book.
And that's not even approaching all the intriguing things found in life. Furthermore, I tend to have an optimistic view of things, in case you hadn't realised that. People are generally very nice. True, there's a few jerks about, but why condemn the human race for a few idiots here and there?
So that's me. If you want to discuss life philosopy, programming, Linux, dragons, elves, science fiction, or any piece of fiction or imagination, well, I'm here. Oh, and I have also a little website, usually known as The Arevol. It's about as weird, um, "unique", as I am.
