I went into town and finally did some of the Christmas shopping I've been avoiding

Managed to get at least a few things accomplished. And found out that I'm approved for another 6 therapy sessions, so that's a good thing (though I'm not sure my joints would agree )

Oh, this's a crazy time of year, where shopping's concerned...the time of year shopping malls become shopping Mauls! Nonetheless *sigh* I'm going to brave the last-minute masses in one tomorrow, to help out a handicapped friend.

I've got the critical stuff done (relatives who'd get p.o.'d if forgotten, etc. ) so I'll be okay... anyone leftover won't be grumpy if I'm late. I run with a pretty easygoing crowd!

People who're TOO uptight and anal tend to not hang around me very long... I simply can't imagine why?!??

I just try to avoid those types as much as possible. Maybe thats a bit inconsiderate or selfish of me...but I find they tend to just suck/drain the fun...or whatever out of so many situations "emotional vampires".

"emotional vampires" is a pretty accurate term, I'd say. And I don't see that as selfish, it's just looking out for yourself. Besides, folks like that don't really want to hang out with folks like us, anyway!
