I'm being nagged both locally and internationally to write. They are all very nice about it... but, still...

Then again, if your major desire for the weekend is to take a long hot bath, followed by extensive napping, then being pressed to write could indeed make you a bit ...

My desire for the weekend is to not be hunted down by the people I wrote about...

I was impressed, though. Most people can only nag me up to about fifty miles or so, and then it loses effectiveness.

Hmm... maybe I should loan you my bullet-proof vest...

Maybe I'll just write a nice safe cookbook. Or get a really different pen name.

Those might be options worth considering!

I have no shortage of different I.D.s here, so a pen name couldn't do much more harm (could it?).

I returned after the h2g2 down time known as Rupert, which was when it switched from h2g2.com to http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/ All I wanted was to log into my original account. The BBC computer threw three more accounts at me instead.

I get the impression that there were a LOT of identity crises around that time...

I've only got one alter-ego, an account I started back in 2000, before I left the site in disgust over the moderation fiasco. I did update it after Single Signon, but I almost never use it.

There were a lot of lost researchers after Rupert. The way everything was frozen until moderation made it impossible to not have to start over. The pro active moderation was quite annoying.

Three of my I.D.s are in that ACE campaign. Maverick was my first account. The others were results of trying to recover Maverick. Finally, I had to give up and by email to the h2g2 support team, before my account total reached double digits.

You could be like the Paramedic/WW2 Expert/ H2g2 ranger/ Helper who's been causing such an uproar... you've got enough ID's for it!

I did consider bringing Maverick over to the WW2 site and, possibly the Get Writing site. But, it seemed better to write h2g2 guide entries and harass, *cough* I mean campaign, instead.

Still have that nasty cough, I see. What a shame!

Every now and then it seems like I get something caught in my throat while posting.

Yeah, I've found that once in a while Hootoo gets a little hard to swallow...

There aren't enough to wash the bad taste of some threads out of my mouth.

Yeah, that's no joke! For such a wonderful place to "live", hootoo does have it's moments

But, it still beats reality hands-down!

H2g2 is where I hide from reality. When I need to hide from h2g2, there isn't anywhere else.

I just finished reading the That's It! thread. That does make me want to go over there and *smack* them.

The paramedic I.D. was the one that infuriated me the most. I have enough first aid and C.P.R. training to recognize bad advice.

I was ready to cut him some slack after he apologized. Everyone's young and stupid once. But when he got right back after it, that was the final straw for me.

And this new ID playing the "oh poor me, everybody hates me" routine is just turning my stomach!
