Simple brilliance

An 85 year-old widow Frances Polack, is so determined not to be resuscitated against her wishes, she has tattooed the words "Do Not Resuscitate" across her chest.
"Years ago when I was nursing I could see they resuscitated so many people they shouldn't have," Polack told the Nursing Standard magazine.
"I don't know if I want to start a fashion, but I hope I will start a debate," she said.
This is great. Many people have had their wishes denied. It is especially hard to die on the operating table. They do everything they can to get you out alive! Statistics are important for funding
If you absolutely know you are ready to die, this is a good move!Although she really should have had "DO NOT Resucitate" tattooed on her chest Everyone has to die,not always several times though!

Womens strength

A woman is like a tea bag: you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.
- Nancy Reagan
This has got to be my favorite Nancy quote. She was never a role model for me. I am not sure it was hers originally. This quote is too good to ignore! Her and Ronnie seem to have an amazing relationship!

Relying on..........
Posted Mar 4, 2003
Relying on God has to begin all over again every day as if nothing had yet been done.
C.S. Lewis
It does not matter whether it is faith or something else....
You get up every day and start all over again. I like the way this is stated. People usually concentrate on the *new* day and *new* beginings Sometimes all we need IS there,we can improve within. With known daily struggles to say "nothing has been done yet" can be a valuable distinction. It can be empowering & motivating. It can make living life "one day at a time" more rewarding,to have gotten throuh another day. Advancing wisdom , knowledge, love is never finished or fixed.

Figures there is a catch!
Posted Mar 3, 2003
- The Bush administration is considering a plan that would prohibit AIDS funding to foreign nongovernment organizations (NGOs) that do not separate their HIV/AIDS programs from family planning services that include abortion counseling or procedures, according to a leaked State Department memorandum.
"It is ludicrous to expect that organizations in Africa can or should establish separate HIV/AIDS programs in order to receive US funds," Dr. Paul Zeitz said. "These restrictions will hamper the rapid expansion of global AIDS programs," he added."The restrictions represent a Washington-imposed mandate that's unrealistic and costly in the African context."
by Reuters Health and paraphrased here.
I knew there was gonna be a catch to the Aids money deal! They WILL not give money to an organiztion that also contributes to womens birth control and abortions! Therefore they are asking for seperate facilities and personal, biuldings ect.$$$ spent on nothing really, to setup seperate *Aids clinics*!
