Kerry does seem happier than Bush. And Edwards seems much much happier than Cheney. Edwards constantly has a big smile, and I can't remember ever seeing Cheney smile!

when Cheney smiles it might take too much energy from his batteries

He smiled when Justice Scalia went duck hunting with him.
He smiled when the Supreme Court sent his case back to the lower court there by delaying any forced disclosure before the elections.
IT was a real big scary smile!
IT was just before he cussed at another lawmaker.
I think he should be the first to have to pay the fine he expects the entertainers to pay for lewd language or behavior.

hellboundforjoy Posted Aug 4, 2004
Pheloxi, Leo Scalia is a justice on the US Surpreme Court. So he is a lawyer, if that's what you're asking.
abbi, I hope things are still going good there!

*sigh*
I am feeling stressed ,tired and lonely.
Too tired to post much yesterday.
I wish twinny was here all the time
I wish my brother had called
I'm Hoping it is just this hour I am not liking!

I am watching the 911 commisions report suggestions.
Complicated changes needed there.
I hope they do it right and in a timely manner.

Abbi, I saw a doccy on TV last night, it was all about the aftermath of 911 and how the technoligy has advanced as reagards to protection for High Rise buildings. One idea was even a parachute base jumping type, for folk to escape.

Hi Abbi, I am sorry to hear you are feeling sad and lonely. I hope it was just the late hour and that it has passed, or will pass soon. Being lonely sucks, I feel it myself at times even when I've opted for some time to myself. I hope Twinny can visit you again soon and really do hope and will pray that your brother will call soon. I think I understand how important those family bonds are after all of the separation.
I have just been engaged in a bit of political debate with an old acquaintance of mine... if you could call it debate. Some people refuse to listen for one moment to any point of view that doesn't exactly echo their own. He says he wishes an anti-choice candidate would win the election so that women could get "a taste of their own medicine". Sounds a lot like "she had it coming"... and you all know how attitudes like that unsettle me.

"Justice Scalia" I thought that was full name...
I am taking the Dutch (see A2700325 of explanation)

Abbi, you are a brilliant source of US news for me, but maybe dwelling in all this gets you down. Take a break and watch something non-political maybe?

Kaz Posted Aug 6, 2004
Sorry for being dense Abbi, I am sure you have told us already, but where is your hubby? Is he away, is that why you are so lonely?
Things are pretty good
Smudger879n Posted Aug 6, 2004
Ah! Abbi, I never knew about your feeling low I seem to have lost direct contact with you, just see a glimpse of you on several threads.
I hope your feeling better soon, as I know whats its like to be alone
When I was working over seas, no one could speak English, no radio, TV or news papers, and worse of all, no human contact that latsed for 5 months, before I got back home
Smudger,

Thanks all
Might take a couple posts to answer each of you.
For one thing I probably would have not been lonely at all a few hours after whining if I could have only posted to everyone that has been around. More people around this week. The site has worked like poo for me all week.
Smudger I have not meant to ignore you.
My email has been such a problem again I hope that I have not dismissed any mail from you. If I did it was quite unintentional.
I have noticed that I am not keeping up so please ignore or forgive that lack of contact if you can.
Hubby says he waves to allI have talked to him more Not always a plus in his percieved quiet time
I know I will feel better and more distracted when the home projrct gets going. I have a feeling I'll have something to whine about even if it happens ,all will be worth it. *Tired of saying IF)
By the way Monday the excavators will assess the job and cost.
Excavators = Nasty sounding word!
Oh my! I am in danger of overuse of smilies - EEK stress
Next I will be rhyming....
I miss twinny *more* now, the project has not started and I was lonely before that distraction. Have not heard a peep from my brother.
Those two make me feel lonely.
Hubby is around but very busy.
Mostly doing things for him-me-us, a lot of things I used to do.
Oh crap don't get me started on that one,it's a tightrope walk.
I am susesptable whenever I hear of somebody else feeling useless.
Nevermind! Enough of that.
I feel better than when I complained before
Probably will feel better for complaining in a nw and different way now!
Not feeling lonely as long as I can post
multiple tries.......may go off and pout.

Hi Abbi, What I meant was, that we seemed to be just missing each other on different threads
Glad to hear your feeling better now sometimes I think that being on here is my only contact with the world outside, as we dont get out often when Mk2 is feeling bad.
Ah! well Abbi, chin up, catch you soon
Smudger,
Things are pretty good
Smudger879n Posted Aug 8, 2004
