*hopes for mother-inlaw to pull through quickly*
She had a stroke that left her unable to speak or move.
She is moving some, speaking but not making sense just yet....

It's a very good sign that she is moving, it's not long since it happened; the speech often takes a lot longer to get back to normal, but if she is making some efforts to talk, she is obviously fairly aware.
How is hubby coping? Can you get to see her or is she miles away?
*hope* too for you & hubby & her.

Thanks everyone.
She has about the strongest faith of anybody I have ever met.
The 6 kids only brought her more
Now they are keeping her until Sunday.
It's not a light stroke
She managed to name Thanksgiving as the one Holiday.
Maybe tomorrow she will remember Christmas.

Well, even on a good day, if half asleep in hospital & feeling pretty I wouldn't be able to do that!!!
(But i'm not American, i take it it's a biggie over there)
Did she actually say the word, 'cos it's not easy to pronounce?
to her, sending some Irish
, do you have St.Patricks day over there? i know Boston & New York go for it, but dunno about where you are.
