RAF Wing... Lookee I'm Invisible!!

I think I might have gone over the edge with that last thing but if you can get a book out of it, that's cool.

Sometimes I get into a combination of things that trips my trigger real hard and then I blither and bluster and generally make a nuisance of myself for what most people probably think is no apparent reason. All those pointless resentments just sort of surface and bubble and boil their way into oblivion.

So I'd probably be okay with another civil war if I could be convinced the first one did any good. I guess the southern slaves got freed but some would say that's still an ongoing process that wasn't completed by the war and probably won't be completed by another war.

smiley - wow Dragonfly that is a great topic for a short story or a novel!
Real life is funny no matter how tragic, the two would need to be a part of RL based novel.

It could also be a prophesy series for adults somewhere between Potter and Armagedon.

Might be heading west myself pretty soon. Starting to see there's no place here where I'm at for me really. Just can't abide no branding irons just now.

Yep. I guess it depends on how much I really want to go back to school or not. Right now the or not is sort of tempting. I really don't like Denver that much. It's sort of, well, strange. You never know if it's spring or fall or summer or winter really. It's like a desert and then it's not.

So I don't know. I probably just need to lighten up for awhile. I'm really feeling like what they call bipolar or whatever. Ups and downs, ups and downs and it's sort of getting to me. Too hot to sleep in the apartment, too confined. And if I start drinking heavy again I'm going to be in deep doo doo I think.

Ah well ,Analiese please do take care. It sounds like your inner voice of healing is talking to you. Listen.
Is that a rattle?
Follow the call, you know what it is.

The uni will still be there after a break, new things and inspiratons may come to you by going home. I have never gone home without recieving some clarity whether it felt good or bad.

Denver is strange. It used to be different 30-40 years ago. Maybe not any better ,I dunno. The sheer numbers of people have changed the climate, traffic, general ease of movement, politics, prices and more.
Way too many people for my comfort. I will not move until it can be to wider open spaces. I hope that will happen some day.

The heat changes views too. I often think of it being a mirage of the mind at times just like the open road through a desert--Oh the things you see!smiley - magic

The heat causes crime rates and domestic abuses to go up, the old and sick die from it. It is serious business. It has been 100 degrees too many days for anyones comfort but I think there is more on top of it for you.

Odd, but not really.
I was thinking late last night about your two worlds (yours and white mans, city and desert...) I do know what that feels like. Gains and losses being of two worlds. I am not bipolar. Maybe it is a part of you but I know all the rest is enough to make you wonder, but not neccesarily a problem or diagnosis. All that disatisfaction and discomfort often motivates and makes for new good changes and choices.

Watched the bats flying low, lower than the trees along the creek in Mathew Winters Park this evening. Cool, very cool.

Yeah, I guess the little brown ones are quite common around town. They'd fly into the high rise dorms at college frequently. Thankfully, some of the security guards usually removed them with the fitted sheets off the beds and dropped them out the windows where they could fly away unharmed. They do eat quite a lot of mosquitos too. Very helpful I think.

smiley - yikes That was a lost bat! Maybe he was rabid! Does not sound like a normal problem to have riding.

We had to chase them out of the house in the summertime, as kids. I still like the saying "bats in the belfry" (wherever the belfry is? attic?) You can throw a ball straight up in the air at night outside and if they are around, you'll see them dive to investigate it.

LOL

Belfry = Belltower. There was a great view of the city from the belfry in the church where I worked as janitor for half a year. Only, being as it was an Episcopalian church, I wasn't a janitor. I was a sexton.

New Market System?

Post 37

This is a new experiment in market styles and predictions.
smiley - yikes
The Pentagon is setting up a stock-market style system in which investors would bet on terror attacks, assassinations and other events in the Middle East. Defense officials hope to gain intelligence and useful predictions while investors who guessed right would win profits.

(AP)
A graphic on the market's Web page showed hypothetical futures contracts in which investors could trade on the likelihood of say; an assassination or a leader being overthrown. Democrats complained about it and the graphic was removed.

Right! And on the other thread people are saying it ain't as bad as Hitler's time yet. What's different? Investors betting on assassinations is different from IG Farben?
