Basically if it costs 4 million a month for whatever is going on in Iraq now....what will it cost to reconstruct? Especially without a plan it seemsThings never go cheaply when you jump into a large project of any kind without a plan, let alone a country!
Very cheeky to apologize for the Brittish burning the whitehouse ,Blair is said to have dropped from a 90 % approval to 1/3 approval at home. Also charming and cute to say he was not used to the applause he got His accent so lovely....It took the US a day or two to come out out the trance of hearing such a polished and eloquent speaker. IMO he also had the best speech after 9-11 the most moving and passionate one.
All woke up today to realize he had really said the same things as Bush,it just sounded a lot better and softer so it slowly sunk in. A bit worrisome to stressing Europe and the US need to become best of buddies (nice but?)against all others basically. He did so without meantioning the UN or Nato too or the Int court..
good idea-bad idea
Springor for senator? Democrat - . I thought he was libertarian-oh well. That may be how a libertarian or green person gets in really. Speaking of that Nader may jump in again.
By switching parties at an opportune moment Springer would od well they say. He is attractive to the state because like most they are broke. He is self sufficent as far as money. On the surface a man with a disgusting show. I recall seeing him in interviews and thinking wow he is just an fairly moderate opportunist.
With that in mind and under the light of the personal failure of Presidents and presidential candidates and an awful lot of money spent on peeking into the bedrooms so to speak (sometime literally and as recentas the Texas case) It could be a good thing to desensitize and make the pursuit of such matters at great tax payer expense. It seems ridiculous when these same men ARE opportunist to begin with. Springers history will be right out front! The politicians take him seriously. Whatever you think of his show ,he is a more honest opportunist than many politicians and business men. I reeeeaallly hate saying that too. *washes mouth out with soap*
I week short of his retirement and full Col. Lumas (sp?) 19 years & 51 weeks of honorable service as an assumed herterosexual.
His house caught on fire ,and in the process, a videotape of him proving he is homosexual was found. I do not yet know how the tape was found and sumbitted as evidenceI know the military has different laws and punishments than civilians.
He was thrown to the hungry wolves. The don't Ask don't tell rule for the US not only discharged him, but dishonorably!! What trash!
He was good enough for them to serve honorably for 20 years as an officer just under a General (i belive)while they where blind to any "defect". I am so sick of reading stories about how people are s****** out of their pensions and retirements when they have been loyal through the most productive (earnings, family and otherwise) years of their lives. Not to mention the more obvious issues.
.
People with High levels of Mercury;
They have fatigue and nuero-toxic problems Dr Hightower wrote about it ~ mercury in fish.
No more than 12 oz a week of mackral ,swordfish, tuna and a few others were suggested in a 2001 advisory from FDA
2 cans of tuna a week are considered too much. The fda should have mentioned it! The tuna industry has refused to admit there was any influence in not mentioning "tuna" specifically before. The most eaten by children and pregnant women in U.S
No mention of tuna THE MOST POPULAR!!
Cans of tuna are as bad if not worse. The nationtional acadamy of scientist say anythingh at 1 part to a million could -should be recalled ,only a 12 cans a year are inspected.!
They do not share the data.
Fish the wonder food. Another previously good thing that is now bad for you. The mercury policy people tested 48 albacor tuna cans. 3 cans were at or above those levels 6 % of them 375 m so so 22 million canms above that level a year. The enviornment protection says I can a week eaten by small -med kid. they say 4 times more than safe is eaten.
10 states are not waiting for fda to say . These 2 states say;
states say :1-2 meals of lt Minnesota 6 oz. / Wash age 6 only a 1/2 can of tuna a week or 1 sandwich.

Oh yes I forgot to add that the lessening stardards of coal emmisions from power plants has increased the mercury consumed. Bush did not only refuse to sign the worlds enviornment package but he has lessened standards here.

I really hate the Iraq situation. I'll be a little happier when I quit my job in ten months, knowing that I won't be giving any of my paycheck to such a selfish, bullying government.
But I'll only be a little happier.

That sounds like a good theory AD, trouble is every time you purchase anything you are paying "Tax" to the government. Its the same in the UK where we are "Born Free & Taxed to Death"

Ooops!
I'm a fan of tuna fish, but now I'll get the doctors to make a blood analisis of my 'radioactive' body.
Sometimes I can't believe how close we are to the edge.
Thanks Abbi for this noticia.
Best wishes, and may peace become the ground to walk on.

The delegation was told that in the last three weeks there has been a drastic drop in attacks of all kinds. But when we (palestine)asked about prisoners, they offered nothing. Everything was deferred."

They spend their days roaming the streets, uneducated and unemployed, in a country that produces around 900,000 barrels of crude every 24 hours. The reality is that 70 per cent of the country's population of around 13 million people live on less than 70 cents a day.
Just a few roads away from where Gracelino, Ingles and others sniff gasoline, Luanda's elite boast luxury homes, the latest four-wheel drives and security guards. The city has some of the highest property prices in Africa and is one of the most expensive to live in.

RAF Wing... Lookee I'm Invisible!! Posted Jul 22, 2003
Well, the latest I read is that Bush and Company are now trying to get a rid of overtime for a lot of people, who don't make that much to begin with.
Does this not show where things are going? Do we have to be slapped across the butt with a slaver's whip first? How long do you suppose the United States people will avoid the exploitation that's been done in the Third World for decades?
The corporations have stolen the commonwealth people!!! WAKE UP!!
Take the land back and then you can shove those jobs up those fatcats' behinds where they belong. There's only a few of them really. They've got all the money but the money's worthless anyways. You just think it makes you rich but it makes them rich whenever they want. That's not how this world is supposed to run.
Bring those soldiers home and get them to fight the real enemy if necessary. Those of you who know them, explain how their blood isn't worth as much as oil to these thugs. Then maybe they will do what real warriors do. Protect the people not the corporations or the stockholders or the CEOs. Right now they're nothing but reuters, brigands. That's not right!! That's not honorable. That's not what young people should die for or make other people die for.
It does no good to cut Bush and Company any slack. Maybe it might be smarter just to wrap the rope around the saddle horn and use your spurs. Then let him dangle until the magpies think it's safe to peck out his eyes. Maybe a piece of his own vigilante justice is what is needed to get some sanity back into this world?
Well, probably not but it sure is tempting.

Springer as a democrat is an interesting thought!
Such a shame about that Col Lumas, he served for nearly 20 years honourably, and then is deemed dishonourable merely because he is homosexual. It didn't affect his fighting, his leadership, or the trust people had in him. Suddenly he is worth nothing just because of that, it infuriates me.
The mercury thing is worrying, since giving up meat, I eat a lot of fish, especially mackerel and tuna. Wonder if I would be better off eating fresh tuna instead of canned? I eat both at the moment, would canning it increase levels at all?

Probably, Kaz... probably....
I like Analiese's concept.... don't give your money to the corporations anymore...!!!!
It's going to take a tremendously RADICAL change in thought. More radical, I think, than the feminist movement.
Maybe we ought to have another Civil War--- those who want the corporations out, those who can't bear to see the corporations gone.... hey!!!! HOLY SMOKES!!! I could write a fictional account of that... Herrrrmmmm.... Maybe just a short story to get things started, something to submit to small presses that go for that sort of thing.....
I'll leave myself a note or three in my Word documents. This would be such an interesting project... Nearly too good to pass up...

He hee hee... I'll have to see what style it turns out to be... so far my books have been humorous... a war, even fictional, is worthy of a book, however, a short story... yeah.. .I'm babbling... I have homework to do and a car to register and a shower to take and a tummy to fed!!!!!
