On the LDers' Quotes Section [ A909010 ], Spook has posted a very important info concerning an interesting project...

This could be really good with support, so i ask you all for support. Please write entries about anything what so ever, or just avertise, or whatever you want to do. With the support of you great members of the community I think this can succeed.
There is also a Jokeathon at A963254 to create the best joke lists ever, so please get involved with that and tell jokes too.

We have now our own bar!!!!
Yep... it's called "The FoLDers Arms" and has been already err "tested" by some of us...
The number is: A913150.
There will be more rooms added during the coming weeks... and all suggestions for themes etc regarding these "soon-to-be-added" rooms are more than welcome...
Opening time: a little problem there... our barkeeper cannot be around until 5pm due to some rather unpleasant RL duties [w**k 
]...
But, you're still welcome to pop in during the day and help yourself with the drinks... some of us will be around as much as possible during the day...
Everyone is welcome... So, let your friends know about it...?!...Remember the good old LD library?!... RIP... it is now closed down...
Tho' we will never be able to replace it completly we now have a quotes section on h2g2... A909010... Again, suggestions for more topics are more than welcome...
It is more a place to share ideas, infos etc than trying to prove anyone else wrong... so please 
_do_ refrain from mocking etc other people's comments/ideas... We really want it to be a place where everyone can feel comfortable expressing themselves about subjects they might not usually talk about in a public place... Together we can make it happen... Thanks in advance...
Also... and that's very important to us for many reasons... we would like to encourage LDers and other Researchers to plug/advertise their entries and projects etc through the "Announcements Room"... It's there for that... don't hesitate using it...
We will pass on some of these infos to the whole LDers community on h2g2 through various other means [the Lders space's journal being one of them] but, to do so it's important that we know about them in the first place... That way, the Quotes Section's Announcements Room will help us in our aim to support the LDers on h2g2...More?!...

Some News For Lders/Telewesters/Digibox Users...

Most of us know now about the digibox friendly "plain" skin which helps accessing long conversations [and replaced at the same time the good old "360 trick"]...
But, just in case, and for any newcomers who would happen to read this journal entry here is the link that allows us to change our skin preferences:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/plain/UserDetailsIf needed, click on it and, as long as you see "plain" written in the box, click on "update"... that should do the trick...
It's still in its prototype stage as it was released early as a favour to the digibox users...But if you need to do some site searching etc manda, kow, myself and other LDers have the necessairy links on our spaces... feel free to use them...
================================MORE NEWS:One of the LDers on h2g2 [EXIDOS2K2 at U208213] has started a chat site for LDers and Telewesters...
Tho' you might be depending on the firewalls to be down for accessing that site, do try to pay a visit when you have a chance...
It is a smileys friendly site and all but it also would be nice to keep in touch with some of the LDers who won't be able to access yoome2 in a "soon to come" future...Here is the link:

As the firewalls are up at the mo' you might not be able to access it just now but they will eventually get down again...SPICING UP YOUR TV EMAILS...
This one is from kyle [U210783]...The Guide researched and produced by kyle will show you how to make your emails definitely less boring...
err... let me re-phrase that...
What i meant was that with the codes provided you will be able to make your TVemails look EVEN more interesting...
It involves having coloured lettering, words in italics etc and being able to center your text among other things...
A good bargain there as all it will cost you is the time to email kyle at:

From now on your TVemails will look as different as you want...There will be more details about these informations in some soon to come entries but we felt that it was important that as many of our fellow LDers/telewesters/digibox users get these news the soonest possible...
Unfortunately Real Life duties do affect the time we can spend on here and we might not have been able to pass these info as early as planned...We have more names on the LDers list so if you haven't had a look for a while you're more than welcome to check it and say hi to some of the peeps on there...

Celebrating Fellow LDers Contribution To The Guide...

"Just a thought" from loup:It came to me as i was adding a few links to the "Some Useful Links etc" page... At the beginning i wanted to put a few examples of how the members of the LeisureDistrict community in H2G2 are contributing to this site...Then i thought: "Why not going further and listing our fellow LDers most important entries?!"...And of course it would not mean just LDers who are relatively new in here; there must be some former LDers too among the "established" H2G2 Researchers...IT would not really be a guide but more like a compilation of entries written by (former and actual) LDers...
The next step of course is to think of categories... some are kinda obvious... hehe... "The Unknown" and "Fiction"... Any other suggestions?!... [not sure if "poetry" is a good idea as we don't really want to tempt fate with "classic" kow around... hehe]
Anyway that's the idea at the mo'...stay tuned as always...
