It's a fair cop. Some are dreadfully boring. So boring that it makes you wonder what's the point of existence. And extremely dignified. One does not mess with their dignity.

They were making fun of the doll on brekky radio here a few weeks back. One of the ladies who works at one of our branches, rang up and blasted them, telling them librarians aren't like that anymore.

Most of the Librarians I know aren't boring. There are some boring ones, but we shove them in the corner and don't talk about them.

Perhaps you should start a librarian anti-defamation league...

Did you know that FwT's mother is a librarian? And he turned out ok in spite of it?

The whole thing about stereotypes is that they're exaggerated. And some librarians I know look a lot like the doll. That's what happens when you reach middle age. You choose comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes and your hair turns gray.
