A worrying possibility

I just noticed this connection, decide for yourselves;
The Matrix = a computer system which people inside it believe is the only reality and people cannot leave by choice once plugged in
h2g2 = a computer system which people inside it believe is the only reality and people cannot leave by choice once plugged in

The end of a 5 week era
Posted Jul 7, 2004
Reality Bytes ends this week... and yes I know it was 4 episodes long but it did take 5 weeks when you count the week nothing happened . Hope you all like it! My next project is in the pipeline but don't expect it too soon!
Thanks to everyone who has given me encouragement - those kicks, verbal abuse sessions and more really helped when things got tough... though I certainly prefered the nice comments!

Back!!
Posted Jun 30, 2004
Ok, I've actually been back for a few days as most of you probably know. But I felt I should post here anyway!
So, what happened during my week away? Well as I may or may not have said I was in Wales at the "Dale Fort Field Centre" which is an old Victorian fort (I think) which is now an ecology Field Centre.
It was a good week, despite loads of work (and I mean loads, a whole A2 module!!!) the first day set the tone of the rest of it when our instructor told us that one of the rules is "Don't swim" which meant that if we fell off the cliff into the water we had to drown as we weren't allowed to swim
The rest of the week followed in much the same vain, ecology 90% of the time, jokes about beards (seriously, on almost every worksheet the word "BEARD" appears... it was disturbing) 5% of the time, sitting on "the wall" 5% of time.
Yes there was "the wall". It was a great place on the cliff edge from which we could look out over the water, build people towers and talk. Some eejits decided to climb over it and walk along the cliff edge which meant our teachers were a little annoyed with us as there was a big notice reading "WARNING, DO NOT CLIMB OVER THIS WALL" and they decided pointedly to ignore it!
So, there you have it. A very brief run down of a very long week!
Oh and for those of you who read it I'm afraid Reality Bytes will not be out this week due to my being away.

As the title suggests I am going away. Tomorrow I will be going on a bio field trip for a week. So if you want to talk to me I'm afraid it'll have to wait!
