I had to do a report on him for school once. He was a really interesting guy. A lot of my political opinions match up with the ones he professed to have in real life. (democratic socialism, dislike of war, etc.)

Hello Lucretia. As you can see by the other posting you are getting confused between the great Orson Welles and the great George Orwell. Orwell was a great political thinker and writer. In fact I was writing something about him on this site a few days ago. If you put 1984 in the search you'll find it. Ta ta for now.

Dunno if you've found it yet, but there is an edited guide entry on Citizen Kane around here somewhere... A253757, I found it quite good, unlike the film itself.

Considering how many polls Kane has topped, I'm often amazed by how many people don't like it. I'm obviously very biased. I even enjoy Welles' performance in the Sandeman port ads
