Happy to you
Posted Dec 29, 2011
I hope everyone had a happy holiday season. I had a terrible cold leading up to Christmas. Then Christmas was great. We even had a white Christmas here in Melbourne! Not so good for some as the white was a ferocious hail storm. Lots of people suffered bad damage, but we were ok.
Boxing day and my cold returned with a vengeance! My head still feels awful, and throat is sore, but feels better than before so hopefully better in a couple of days.
Hubby just asked what I was doing, and told him I was on h2g2. He asked if I had told everyone we mentioned h2g2 on our podcast. I had totally forgot? On our last episode we reviewed the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I gave a shout out to hoodoo.

I'm back!
Posted Nov 18, 2011
I've been away from hootoo for quite some time.
I've been busy going off and getting married, and honeymooning in NZ.
Also been busy with our podcast http://nerdculturepodcast.com/ (shameless plug )
I've just spent a good couple of hours going back through posts I've missed. I have had to skim most of them, as it would take me days to catch up. I did read some great stuff from Hyp & the Rev. I've missed your stories!! Hyp, 'brickhenge' was hilarious!
I'm so pleased that the site has survived, and is in capable new hands. Also very pleased to see it looking and functioning much the same as when I left it.
An early new years resolution, is to make it a part of my routine to keep coming back.

Nerdculture Podcast

Hi all,
I've not been around much lately, thought I'd drop in and let you know what's been taking up my time. My future husband and I (appart from making fabulous wedding plans) have been collaborating with a couple of friends to put together a podcast and website.
Here's the website:
http://nerdculturepodcast.com/
You can check out the podcast on iTunes here:

(don't forget to rate us)
Or you can listen directly from the website here:

It's about all things nerdy or geeky. Our latest episode is the first part of our Blade Runner special.
Tell anyone you think might be interested. Oh, and we'd be absolutely stoked if anyone wants to send in feedback to feedback (at) nerdculturepodcast.com We LOVE feedback, and haven't had nearly enough.
If you've always wondered what I sound like, here's your chance.
On to other stuff. . .
The wedding plans are going fabulously well. Only 11 weeks to go and we're just about organised. Really only nitty-gritty stuff to do now. It's been stress free so far. We're quite lucky in that we don't have any interfering parties telling us how it should be done. We've been able to do everything our own way! Also, it's going to be a very small affair, so not very hard to organise at all.
Our honeymoon is also organised, we'll be spending 10 days in New Zealand. Nice
Hope this finds everyone in good health.

Cheery News
Posted Mar 14, 2011
There seems to be a lot of gloom on hootoo lately, so I thought I'd share some cheery news from my life.
We've made a number of headways towards our wedding in the past couple of weeks.
I've purchased my dress!!! Very excited. I managed to find it at an extremely reasonable price at a Salvation Army shop! It's very beautiful. Sorry can't post any pics online incase the groom stumbles across them.
We've also purchased our wedding bands.
We've booked our honeymoon. A 10 day tour of New Zealand. Mostly on the North Island, with a little bit of the South thrown in.
Everything seems to be rolling along so nicely. Can't wait for September, when the big day is!!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!
