I'm writing this entry on an iPad. I find hoot difficult to navigate on the iPad. The links are too close together and I accidentally unsubscribed to a conversation, which I then had to find again and resubscribe to.

I'm still here . . .
Posted Jul 11, 2010
Hi, just a quick note, before I leave for work, to say I'm still around.
I'm sorry I've neglected good old hootoo of late, even missed Taralome's 8th birthday
Had a lot happening lately. Biggest news of all is that I'm now an engaged woman! We're getting married in September next year. Very exciting!!
BTW, Rev, I just put a hold on that book you recommended.
Gotta go to work.

Ying Ying
Posted Dec 27, 2009
My great-nephew, who is only 1 and a half, calls Santa Claus Ying Ying.
We were greatly puzzled by this until I realised. I think he is saying ring ring, like sleigh bells. When I suggested this he got a big grin on his face, like 'she gets it!'

Ahh, Goo. How I've missed you.
Posted Dec 27, 2009
I switched from Goo back to Alabaster some years ago, because it didn't stand out as much at work. Seen how we can't look at personal stuff at work now, I thought I'd switch back.
It may not be as functional as Brunel, but I find it very aesthetically pleasing. It has all my favourite colours.
Goo, I've missed you.

Turkey
Posted Dec 27, 2009
So, I've been asked if I would cook a turkey, since we didn't have one for Christmas.
I'm willing to give it a go.
Tips, hints, suggestions? I plan on getting the one with the thermometer that pops out when it's ready.
