Saga of the ATM card

I had been waiting a week and a half for my ATM card to turn up with no luck. I had ordered a new one, because my old one expired and the bank had neglected to send a new one. The one I ordered never arrived due to problems with the post office.
It appeared my mail was being marked 'not at this address' before arriving in my box and returned to sender! Long story, and a few weeks of investigation, short: it turns out for some reason the computers thought I had a post office box at the post office. I didn't so they were marking them 'not at this address'.

Back to the bank. When my new card hadn't arrived after a week and a half, I rang the bank. The lady on the other end of the phone quickly found the problem. I had no mailing address listed! It was blank. So, they'd obviously had some returned mail and deleted my address. No one bothered to try to contact me (they had correct phone numbers) to ask for the correct address. The lady on the phone said that because the address field was blank, the card hadn't been triggered to be sent out. So, I'd been waiting for a week and a half for a card that was never going to arrive! Now that it was filled in (correctly) it would automatically be sent on Monday (hopefully smiley - rolleyes).

I hope so, I've been without an ATM card since the end of June. It's amazing how much one can miss a piece of plastic.

It's like banging your head against a brick wall

I think I need a new job.
First I had to deal with this http://crystalconundrum.blogspot.com/2008/03/would-you-like-fries-with-that.html
Then I had to deal with a woman who wants us to bend over backward to make sure she's first in line to get the next issue of the Australian Woman's Weekly. I mean if the poor think can't wait to see the 'baby bumps' or to find out who's been eating too much or who hasn't been eating enough, the magazine only costs $8! She should just go out and buy it. smiley - grr

Sorry, just needed to rant.
