Lullaby
Posted Aug 17, 2002
When at night, when you go to sleep
you will hear a rustling near.
And in your dreams there will be
a lullaby that only you can hear.
Singing rockabye, rockabye,
go to sleep my Joseph.
Nothing can disturb you
with Mommy watching over this house.
And in your dreams if you feel a kiss
that's just your mommy making you her wish.
And singing rockabye, rockabye
go to sleep my Nyssa.
Go to sleep my little boy and girl.
Nothing can disturb you
with Mommy watching over this house.
Your mommy will watch over...you...
aw....

Sad-eyed Lady of the Inland
Posted Aug 12, 2002
If you see her, say hello, she might be in Tangier
She left here last early spring, is livin' there, I hear
Say for me that I'm all right though things get kind of slow
She might think that I've forgotten her, don't tell her it isn't so.
We had a falling-out, like lovers often will
And to think of how she left that night, it still brings me a chill
And though our separation, it pierced me to the heart
She still lives inside of me, we've never been apart.
If you get close to her, kiss her once for me
I always have respected her for busting out and gettin' free
Oh, whatever makes her happy, I won't stand in the way
Though the bitter taste still lingers on from the night I tried to make her stay.
I see a lot of people as I make the rounds
And I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town
And I've never gotten used to it, I've just learned to turn it off
Either I'm too sensitive or else I'm gettin' soft.
Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past
I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast
If she's passin' back this way, I'm not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up if she's got the time.
-"If you see her, say hello"

Sugar Baby

only 8.5 hours until i can go to bed. this sure as hell better work. my next plan is a morphine drip, which would be problematic in its execution (lovely idea just the same). so now..the challenge..to stay awake..think a combination of feeding myself complex carbs and protein and blaring positive music will do the tricky?

i think i slept last night..a little bit.
if anyone has been so kind to read my suicide entry, please give me some feedback, even if just editorial in nature. also, if you'd like, please look at http://hometown.aol.com/nyssabird/dn.html
It goes along with it, prequel fashion, and it's more in my style since it wasn't for a philosophy assignment. many many offerings of gratitude...
