I'm thinking Scream, I Know What You Flid Arse Bummer, Final Destination, stuff like that? I quite liked the latter actually, more for the puzzle of it though.
If you liked Sean Pertwee (Sarge), you'd probably get a kick out of I.D. - mean anything to you? London football hooligan gangs, undercover cop tries to infiltrate. Very powerful.
I'm likely to regret saying this but I'm a bit caught up in the excitement over the impending "Cloverfield" flick, by the guy who did Lost (what a let-down that was).
I guess if it's okay to leave a cat in all day I could do that, though you've obviously got a bigger place. Mind you, Jason (upstairs from me at my old bedsit) had a cat who did pretty well out of it. Better than him, if I'm honest.

Cats do much better on their own than dogs. A reasonably tidy litter pan and a couple of things to play with, and most kittehs are happy campers. Judging by his typical routine on weekends when we're here, it seems like he naps a good deal of the day, in between preening, eating, and pooping.
Friends of ours have a place only slightly larger and keep three cats indoors, and everyone's happy.
I just always worried about things like traffic, and neighborhood dogs, and potentially rabid urban squirrels... you know what I mean.
Don't recognize "I.D.", and suspect some of the cultural stuff might fly over, as I'm not into sports so know zilch about football of any variety. But I'll take a peek and see if it warrants a spot in the queue. Never heard of the "Cloverfield" one before, either.
The first "Final Destination" was tolerable, but you have exactly the right idea. Add to that stuff like "Miner's Massacre"... the only reasonably decent one was "My Bloody Valentine", which I found on VHS for $4 and didn't hate.

The football aspect of ID is secondary really to a character study of the man (Reece Dinsdale) sent undercover, and how his personality changes in new company. It was against the backdrop of discussions at the time that ID cards should be mandatory to attend games. Mercifully the hooligan element is rarely around these days, outside of internationals and local derbys (ask Ed about Rangers v Celtic). Mercifully England have been disqualified from Euro 2008 so next summer will be a lot quieter.
Another "horror" I was really into was Cube, mostly for the psychological aspect of it, the minimalist quality and the factor. Haven't bothered with the sequels though.
Here's the Cloverfield trailer

A lot of people are suggesting the Betentacled One, but it ain't him. There's another new movie for that, with Tori Spelling in it

Oh, dear. That doesn't sound promising at all.
The YouTube clip looked interesting enough.
My favorite horror stuff, besides the cheesy, is usually along the lines of Argento and other giallo stuff, nunsploitation, and zombie flicks. I rarely see a zombie flick that I totally hate.

Had to google giallo, never heard of nunsploitation but it sounds like a laugh... the thing about JJ Abrams is if you took anything from Lost it's that the anticipation is far inferior to the outcome. If you know what I mean.
With Lost, there were these 6 numbers, that sound like lottery numbers - in fact they were the winning numbers of one character - that had to be typed in on a computer in a bunker every 108 minutes, so the islanders wouldn't suffer some incomprehensible fate. Sites full of discussion were built on the premise that they had some intrinsic meaning, but guess what? They were just a bunch of arbitrarily chosen numbers. At the end of that series Sky bought the rights so it stopped being on terrestrial TV, and I'm kind of grateful for the release. In that way Abrams is a weaver of incredible intrigue but a snake-oil salesman by so doing, and I fear the same for this movie.
The Cthulhu movie is here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R_Lr4dLaRx0 the black-and-white Call movie looks more fun.

Are we thinking of the same "Lost"? Over here it's an over-rated, mind-numbingly boring TV show.
Lately, for me, the anticipation's been far better than the outcome. Mainly because a number of things in my queue have had the dreaded Very Long Wait. Not many films can hold up to such anticipation.

Yup, that's the guy... fortunately, the death of my principal interest in it (a lady called Anna-Lucia, shot for no obvious reason) coincided with the Sky purchase.

I've been toying with the idea of getting cable TV again. It seems ridiculous to pay $60+ per month for TV and then watch maybe 4 hours per month, though. But apparently BBC America has the new Doctor Who as well as other goodies. And there's always South Park on Comedy Central.
Still, it's probably not worth it overall.

Definitely worth saving your money on. If you want to see some Who you've an embarrassment of Brit connections who can sort that out for you (I've been planning on getting a DVD recorder, and Who DVDs are not very pricey, or unlikely to end up in chunks on Youtube) and suspicion suggests that the greater part of American output is a load of old shit. Hold on to your money, there are filter systems around

True, 'dat.
Another notion I've entertained is renting all of the South Park episodes from Netflix. I might end up with duplicates, but I'd live.

Ah, yes, sympathy. Just what the doctor ordered.
And the work day is already off to a pain in the arse. Without getting into too many confusing technical details, some of our ledgers close for the month on the 25th, and others on the last day of the month. I'd processed some transactions on a ledger that closes on the 25th last Wednesday using the wrong bank account and manually overrode the account numbers. While that fixes things as far as the actual checks are concerned, it creates a major problem uploading those checks to the bank with the G/L closed and unavailable for posting. This may mean a lot of journal entries and all of these checks having to be run again. It didn't occur to me on Wednesday that the ledgers would close before I'd posted these this morning.

Maybe this sort of thing could be avoided if you weren't called upon to do other people's work all the time aswell. Sorry you're having a bad one.

Oh, that's been sorted, more or less. For the time being, anyway. And the biggest culprit is out of the office till Thursday, so she's not here making more work for anyone. I have no excuse, really.
Actually, I made a simple mistake and took the correct steps to fix it, under ordinary circumstances. I just completely forgot about the ledgers closing right away when we got back.
My boss can re-open it long enough for me to post to it and then we can close it again. It's just time-consuming and annoying.
Things could be much worse.

I haven't had a chance to watch with the sound on, but yeah... that guy hardly looks normal, or everyday. Do people really dress like that?

You were over here... with the kids who make Fresh Prince look like Dre... well now they're everywhere, take themselves even more seriously. I'll try to get a photo on my mobile next time I'm at the bus station.
This'll tickle you, needs no sound. Save the whale (from this)
