Reviews

I'm sure you all read our fabulous Book Review column when it debuted in the post last week. Well, I've just written the second review, on 'Divine Secrets'. So you can all go and read that this week.

I'm feeling rather pleased with myself, the column's up and running, and my Bombay Dreams entry has been submitted to a Sub Editor after a ridiculously tiny amount of time. *cue smug face*

So, all in all, I've been quite productive. Now, if I could just get to that stage with my Maths homework, I might actually pass the exam...ha ha.

News of the best kind.

As many of you will know, I left my secondary school because of horrendous bullying, the final straw being when the group of girls I had become friends with turned on me without warning.

Yesterday was their last day and I bumped into the group in MaccyD's. It has been a year since I left, so I went over to say hello, hoping that enough water would have passed under the bridge. It obviously had, as we ended up having lunch together and reminiscing about old times. I signed their leaver's books and one of the girls, who had been the worst when they turned, said she was pleased things had worked out for me. I'm thrilled that I no longer have to live with the worry that a ridiculous amount of people hate me, and have finally laid that particular ghost to rest. I doubt any of the girls will ever read this, but just in case, smiley - ta It meant a lot.

I've done some work. Now leave me alone!

Yes, that's right! After a false start trying to discover how to make feather boas so I could write a guide entry on one, I gave up and wrote one on Bombay Dreams instead. The entry is here A1040653 and I've popped it in peer review so if any of you would be kind enough to go comment on it I'd be very grateful.smiley - biggrinsmiley - grovel

My other bit of good news is that a new researcher has joined the bookworms club, which was the first since I took over! YAY!!

Bingo!

The Italics transferred the editing rights on the h2g2 Bookworm's Club over to me. I shan't make any major transformations though!

Look out for our column in smiley - thepost soon, we've had confirmation through from shazz. Hopefully this should be a regular feature in a couple of weeks!!

I've done my bit to raise h2g2's popularity. One of my friends has broken down under my constant pressure (only joking) to get her on here, and she's gonna sign up. Be nice to her. I'll post again when she's on.

My memory has returned.

I have finally caught up with my posts and deleted those conversations I didn't wish to be subscribed to. No small feat if you saw the size of the negleted list when I returned. smiley - yawn

Not only that, but I've gotten round to linking up all the bands to relevant guide entries/websites. I meant to do this when I first wrote the list all those months ago! It's so easy to get lazy.

To echo what I'm sure is the eternal thought of many a Researcher..."I will write another guide entry soon". Hopefully. Providing I can think of a good enough topic. Hmm...smiley - biggrin

Still, I've got the job of Acting Editor for the h2g2 bookworms club, and that's bound to keep me busy. Shall have to try and think up something dazzling to put on the page. I'd like to make a link to all the members, but it's finding them! Perhaps I'll go post a thread up. Byeee!!smiley - run
