Explanation for Pearl's lengthy abscence
Posted Dec 13, 2004
Hi all!
Well, I went back to college in September and a few days in was sent home cos I kept fainting and being sick. Spent 6 weeks at home ill before being rushed to hospital as my Mum thought I was having a heart attack, apparently I was talking complete gibberish (don't know how she could tell) and looked really bad. Anyway, spent 3 weeks in hospital after the doctor's found out I have an inflammatory bowel disease (yuck!) called Crohn's Disease. I came out early November and have been resting at home but am nearly back to normal. I've decided to quit college as I'm not really doing the courses that I want to do (haven't yet told the college this!).
Anyway, have a lovely Christmas and I'll try and pop back regularly.
Lots of love, Pearl

Pearl needs help from friends
Posted Jun 11, 2004
Hi!
I am still alive, but the library computers are being a bit funny and evil AS exams got in the way. Still, there all done so I'm going to creep back in.
Anyway! I'm starting my A2 Sociology coursework (on friendship) and was hoping that you lovely people would tell me what makes you make friends with someone, the sort of people you make friends and your general experience of friendship (we could be here awhile). Feel free to talk about both RL and h2g2 experiences.
Thankyou, here's some and to keep you going...

Missing me?
Right, I've been abscent from my beloved second home due to bagging the lead role in my first BTEC production. I'm in very scene and have a ridiculous amount of lines so all my energies been on that. I'm just getting back into the e-mail, so feel free to contact me by that.
While I'm here, anyone know a costume hire company and a casting agency? I need to write reports on them both for a Business assignment.
Love you all, have some and some to keep you going.
Ooh, and a massive thankyou to my Bookworm's for keeping the review going.

PP: Abscence explained and her results
Posted Aug 19, 2003
Right well, I've only got my AS levels so far, and
Both were C's!!!!! I PASSED!!!!!(one year early as well!
*ahem* Right, I've been off here because it's been too hot and Fame Academy is just too interesting. Sorry folks. (Alex to win, but we love Peter and the Lawn Darts Champion.)
I can't actually be bothered to write any more (oh, except please read this week's column, as it's the Book of the Future and the Beeb ASKED me to write it).
More later when I get my GCSE results.
Oh, I know what I was going to say...went to the hairdressers and my hair is now no longer shoulder length and ughy, but about 2 to 3 inches long and sticky uppy. Very cool!

PP: Bargains and fish!
Posted Jul 30, 2003
Please note, I have decided to prefix all my journal entry's with PP so you know that they are mine.
Firstly, the fish...
Went to Portsmouth yesterday, and ate at Loch Fyne. It's a chain of v. good quality fish restaurants. Had Clam chowder to start, full of peas, with lovely slices of new potato. Utterly delicious, and I wasn't sure I'd like it!
Then, my bid for world domination comes ever closer. That scrumptious varitey of shellfish known as the king prawn has been defeated. I'd never shelled a prawn before, but am now expert (well, i did get 6!). Course, they'd been covered in parsley and were quite charred, so my fingers were covered. And I had to spritz them with perfume to hide the smell of fish. Not the best meal for a first date.
Dripping, I moved onto a creamy lemon sorbet. Ooh! Hope I'm going back tomorrow! (In Winchester, they have a branch there).
Now, to the bargain:
To begin, GAP jeans (low rise, flared) for £19.99. Which was amazing, as the cheapest I'd seen were 24.99 in New Look, and GAP isn't known for cheap prices!
Then, New Look. Purple Satin blouse, slightly billowy at bottom, lovely cuffs, for
A POUND!!!!
Jammy little begger aren't I?
