pheloxi, I have been to the Netherlands... I loved the place and absolutely loved the people, but my Dutch is non-existant and I couldn't find work. I am a writer, an editor and a copywriter, but I can only work in my mother tongue, possibly English but I'm not sure.
Much as I'd like to, I can't waste any more time gallivanting around Europe I have to get back on track and start building a life and a career. I want to be a writer and hope to support myself on my editing skills.
As for Estonia, Hati, ermmmm... you don't make it sound very inviting, dear BTW, which linguistic area does Estonian belong to? There is so much I don't know about your country... I'm curious!

Fenno-ugric
Closest is Finnish, the other end is perhaps Hungarian. One branch is in Siberia. Nothing to do with Latvian and Lithuanian. Quite impossible to learn - 14 cases.

You're both fortunate to live in such exotic places
I only live on a farm with some very odd farm animals
You could always visit, though, if you wanted a chance at becoming a farm hand..... lady Karen

Northern Saskatchewan, Canada!
Really cold during the winter. (Summer, too, if you must know)

Oh dear! I am not so fond of cold atm.
It's -23C here and I am freezing - I just found that the floor is covered with some ice under my sofa.

sounds like my sort of place! I moved 420 miles north to find some cold weather.Where ever we live it will be exotic to someone from another place.

I washed face with snow yesterday
I egged him on by calling him a pansy, so he chased me into the feild..... (Who knew he could run like that) He tackled me, three times
So, when his back was turned, I tackled him and stuffed snow in his overcoat, while I washed his face with snow

Tis said, (and hotly disputed), that it snowed here.
360 frost free days per year here.
And many beautiful girls.
I could set up a business charging Chinese girls for finding them Western husbands, and charge Western men much much more for finding them Chinese wives.
Other people have.
Don't know what to do about returned goods tho'.

Hey beanfoto
Chrimbo was terrible, New Year's Eve was excellent. I visited a friend in another town and we had very good fun. I'm beginning to recover, but I'm still not well enough to start talking to my friend again.
One of my exes sent me a text message apologizing for what he did to me this year and thanking me for everything I taught him. I'm pleased to say I was gracious in my reply. My other ex, my boyfriend of four years, is still AWOL and I like it like that.
The new year is off to a promising start: due to a mistake, I have been paid twice the amount my former employer owed to me. I hope it's their mistake, so I can refuse to give it back. They can't prove they didn't owe it to me, since it was my salary for the month of AUGUST! On the other hand, if it's the bank's mistake I'll have to give it back. I could do with some extra money right now...
Good to have you back once again, man
