Chris, you'll notice I left the Pixies off- though there's only one I can think of.
Speaking of "My Lovely Horse", K and I had company Friday night and we all watched that episode. Inspired by a crappy old YouTube video.
Take me away!
Christopher Posted Oct 14, 2008
Thanks PC Apart from the cursed Monkey Gone To Heaven* and Bird Dream Of The Olympus Mons, which is up for a third time, I'm stuck for other Pixies songs. I'll have a dig. Oh wait - how could I forget Caribou. Repent!
*Trufact - Black Francis wrote the lyrics as a filler but Vaughan Oliver's cover art forced him to stick with them.

Time for another one of these?
How about "Clothing" for a topic, just at random? Or... Have we already done song titles that ask a question?
Take me away!
psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Mar 10, 2009
Ooh, I like both of these! We can either do "clothing" first, and then questions in a couple of days or so, or we can do both at the same time, and just make two separate lists.
Since I expect to be quite busy later this week, I'm going for the gusto and will post two lists today, just in case. So, for now I'll start with what's in my Zen, and I'll be back later when I can peruse the collection at home.

I love songs about oven gloves.
I doubt I'll be motivated to continue this evening, but I'll be back with more clothing soon.
Unless Mala comes up with another topic before then.

Oh, gosh, someone else has heard of the Wonder Stuff.
Ismarah, can you insert some adjectives or something to fill it out?

But first, a rant. I love this game, it's a lot of fun - but someone else is playing it, and it's Nemone on BBC digital radio channel 6 Music (1pm to 4pm weekdays).
She'll ask people to TEXT ON 64046, THAT'S 64046 (or email) suggestions of songs that, for real example, contain the same letter twice. Out of the countless thousands of texts they get she'll pick one to play at the end of the hour. And that's the Nemone Revenue Stream show.
Anyway...
Aphex Twin - Tamphex (do tampons count as clothes?)
Beck - Sleeping Bag (?)
Belly - Sad Dress
Boo Radleys - Does This Hurt?
Brian Eno - Tal Coat
Calexico - Fake Fur
Deee-Lite - Try Me On, I'm Very You / What Is Love? / Who Was That?
Frank Black - Whatever Happened To Pong? / Tight Black Rubber
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?
KLF - What Time Is Love?
Mogwai - I Know You Are, But What Am I?
Mudhoney - Who You Drivin' Now?
My Bloody Valentine - Can I Touch You?
Nick Cave - Long Black Veil / Do You Love Me? / Are You The One That I've Been Waiting For? / Where Do We Go Now But Nowhere?
Orbital - Are We Here?
Pale Saints - Hair Shoes / Angel? (Will You Be My)
Pixies - Where Is My Mind? / Is She Weird?
PJ Harvey - Dress / Is This Desire? / Who The F**k? / That Was My Veil / Is That All There Is?
Ride - How Does It Feel To Feel? / Deep Inside My Pocket
Smiths - How Soon Is Now? / What Difference Does It Make?
Wedding Present - Why Are You Being So Reasonable Now?

Well, that game's a little different, then, if she only picks one. I got started playing this game when I was trying to help K compile a playlist for a DJ night- I think it was Labor Day and we were looking for work-related stuff. I suggested Oingo Boingo's "Wild Sex in the Working Class" and anything by the Proletariat. You lot (or some of you, anyway) helped me compile a playlist for that.
It was fun.
Tampons do not count as clothing, no. I didn't use stuff like "lipstick" or generic "leather", either, or I would have had a few more... another Buzzcocks, to boot.
Key: Complain about this post
