I could. But if they do hit my desk, it's really only an hour or two worth of work, if that. Nothing life-threatening. Unless they went with some sort of Plan B and someone else compiled everything and then sent them to the printing service. I usually print them and bind them up on my own, because it only adds another hour or so to the project!

Well, we could hardly have a party like that on a Monday. Over here, it's usual to, if you're going to have a party, do it on a weekend or something and just pick a date close to your birthday.
If I had a party on a Sunday and my birthday was Monday, and I croaked on Sunday night, I wonder if I could get a refund or something?

Weekends yes, just *after* your birthday. The reasoning - what there is - goes something like if you've had the party, you don't need the event so it may not happen.

I just got officially made up! On several levels. An extra 20% backdated 2 months and 9 days. End of August i'm finally going to feel the benefit.
Many happy returns to the Geezer

I figured it was something like that Mala.
And yes, congrats from me, too, Chris! It's about time.
Don't blow it all in one place just because they give it to you all at one time.

So no mass singing of The Internationale followed by a storming of City Hall? Shame!

Nope. It was a birthday party, after all. And one with family members present. Just because I don't agree with them doesn't mean I should antagonize or alienate them.
Not to mention that I swore you alluded to illicit drug use. No way could I have displayed that (a)in a public place or (b)in front of parental units. Or co-workers. I don't want to lose my job.

Moi?
(akshully...i don't think I did refer to it in the film. whether or not the prior consumption thereof was obvious is another matter).

Maybe that's what it was. You may only have mentioned it in the email and I remembered wrong. K and I got a giggle at it because at the very least you'd had a drinky or two.

As long as you didn't use K's real name in it at any point, which I don't remember your having done. He doesn't want anything which could identify him posted publicly at any time.

Sounds like it all went swimmingly! It is nice to do something unusual for your partner that they enjoy immensly and bask in that feel good glow..
Glynn's lazer tag was a hit also, and the boys were putting the pirate earrings thro their lips, noses and eyebrows... They were all tired, sweaty and smelly after..*holds nose*
Nah no refunds...but we could still party for you tho...
