Cool.
Ick, work, poor you. Im back to messing around on computers when I should be doing cover work again. Ah well. Actually, I did do some of the work. We had to write a little short story. Heres what I wrote: Last Friday, our teacher was away. We didn’t have a cover teacher, we just had to go to the library and do…..well, something or other on the computers. Of course, no-one actually did what we were supposed to, but I did find a great game on some random site.
StoryOf A Boring Lesson
So, it came to the end of the lesson and the boss of the English department came over to our class and asked for our work. My reaction: “What work?” Classic! Although the teacher didn’t find it quite as amusing as I did. So now I’m sat in detention re-doing the work I was supposed to do on that fateful soggy Friday. It’s really boring, but not too bad because my mate Marie gave me her cd player to listen to, and I’m sat by the window so I can watch the football team practice on the field outside. Oh wait, I just remembered something……I don’t like football. So the whole ’looking out of the window’ thing just lost all entertainment value.

Ah, the good old days of school, staring out the window when one was supposed to be working... I miss those days. The past several years have been spent sat in a variety of cubicles, with nary a window in sight, not to mention anything to watch from one.
It's cooled down about 20 degrees today and I'm working only half a day (I get off at 11:30) because of the holiday weekend, so I'm not in such bad spirits today.
My co-worker brought his little six-year-old daughter to work today, she's coloring and being sweet, and because she's here her dad's on much better behavior than usual. So it's also nice and quiet here.
Hope you actually got some *work* done in detention. Naughty girl!

I wrote that whole story, and a little bit more because it had to be 250 words. Hope the teacher likes it . I love sarcasm!
COOLED to 20 degrees? Ouch!
I hated going to work with my mum when i was too young to stay home on my own. I dont like nursery schools and dont really like young children. So its not a good idea for me to do work experience in a primary school cos thats the agegroup that annoys me most, but thats what ive been given. Oh yay. NOT
Im going town with my friend tomorrow for lack of something better to do with my time. And i might be going to see some bands in the evening, which should be fun. But it depends on when we have to be back, and wether I can find the right bus to get us ther, and then find the actual place. I have no sense of direction lol.

Actually, it cooled a total of 20 degrees from about 40 C to about 29 C today.
I hope if you do get to see those bands play tomorrow (and I do hope you will!), you can get the bus and logistical stuff sorted OK. Talk to me about sense of direction- at least once a week I wind up walking an extra mile onmy way home because I ride the bus right past my stop (and the rush hour buses run mostly "express" routes). Anyway, I hope you will get to go!
Tomorrow I have planned absolutely nothing. We'll likely run errands such as paycheck cashing and grocery shopping, etc. Sunday we're heading down to Indiana to visit some of my boyfriend's friends. They have two daughters around your age, one of them's actually a bit older, and the whole family are lovely company and a lot of fun. My boyfriend's band isn't playing this year- the second guitarist broke his shoulder- but some friends of theirs (all of them have played in various bands together at one time or another) are playing, and they're very good. I'm looking forward to it.
Monday is the holiday, and it's supposed to be up around 40 C again, so we're hoping to stay around home and relax as much as possible.
If you do make it to see those bands play, let me know how you like it and who played, OK?
And be careful! Don't get lost!

Hiya again. well i went to see bands like i said i was going to yesterday. It didnt rain, i got the right busses there and back, I found it ok and I had fun even though all my mates canceled on me so i went on my own. They tried to persuade me not to cos "I don't think it's a good idea for you to go on your own" an that, but it was only till i got there and met people. And i wasnt gonna let em spoil my fun. The music was good and it was all in aid of the Make Poverty History campaign.
Hope you had fun at your friends...
Talk later

Hey there!
I enjoyed myself at the barbecue thingy Sunday. There was plenty of vegetarian food, and mots of nice people to talk to. Rumor has it I had perhaps a drink or two more than was necessary, but no one was seriously injured so it couldn't have been all that bad. Saw some fireworks and a couple of kids from down the way attempt to play some music. It was all pretty half-***ed this year, but I enjoyed the visit.
Speaking of seeing bands play... one of my boyfriend's bands is playing around the 17th or 18th again at a horrible local club called Subterranean. They usually specialize in all of that godawful drum 'n' bass type rubbish, but they're having some kind of normal show that night. I don't think I'll be going to this one, it's at 11:00 on a Monday night and I get up for work at 5:00, but maybe I'll pull a day off or something and turn up anyway. It'd be interesting to see what kind of crowd turns up at a normally totally lame establishment.
So how's things with you this week?

Hi.
Lol, too much ? Ah well, at least you had fun.
I'm ok, been practicing on my guitar. Im still trying to learn 'Anarchy For The UK' and 'Teenage kicks'. I can practically do 'Teenage Kicks' and Im all happy cos 'Anarchy...'is starting to sound vaguley right. And Im going to get the tabs for 'I wanna be sedated' because my mate said it was only 1 chord so it's easy.
Yeah, skive off work!!! Fun. I wish I could avoid sports day tomorrw (even though I'm not taking part cos I refused to have my name put down to do anything) but I have to go. So I'll take my cd player and some food, sit and talk to my mates and listen to 'schools are prisons' untill we get released at 1:30

Hey, kiddo. You're not in London, are you?

Anti-everything Posted Jul 8, 2005
No. Plymouth. It's cr@p. But I do wanna move to London when I'm older because thats where all the main papers are and I wanna be a journalist. But I'm glad I dont live there now. I heard about the bombing on the news, its shocking. I hate this country, terrorists, polotics and everything.

Good luck with pursuing the career in journalism. A number of my friends majored in journalism (mine was communications) and it's definitely a worthwhile choice.
And I don't mean to pry in regards to where you *are* located- you being a minor and all, I hate to ask you to divulge anything too personal- but I am relieved to know that you were safely out of harm's way.
I don't hate politics, but I do hate the way people let politics, religion, etc cause so much hatred that it leads to this kind of tragedy. And I refer to my government as well, it makes me sad to think that my country's allies, and my friends sho reside there, are being retaliated against.

Thanks. It sounds good. I really wanna be a rock journalist, I think that would be so cool.
Dont worry, I'm careful online. I know what I can and can't say. But thanks for the thought

That's like what I meant, but I was to angry to explain at the time. Had a kinda bad day and I was in school with my tutor-group, all of who (except 1) I hate. And I applied to move to my friends tutorgroup and the woman in charge was meant to talk to me about it today but we moved rooms and so she didn't find me. Which means I have to stay where I am for another week.

I'm glad you're cool with my mother hennish tendencies.
A rock journalist would be an awesome job. If you can, read "Psychotic Reactions and Carburetor Dung" by Lester Bangs. He was a famous rock journalist, one of the best, and my personal favorite.
Your tutor group doesn't sound like much fun. Sorry you weren't able to coordiante a transfer yet. Good luck with it, though, and let me know if and when you manage to arrange it.
Hope your day has improved since then!!

Lol.
Like my new name? My dad was all "Why are you so anti-everything?" when he was in a mood with me for moaning about not wanting to do my totally irellivant and pointless work experience, and I thought it would be cool.
I'm gonna bug my head of year untill he moves me. I had to keep on at him before he even considered it. I just ask him every time I see him. He soon gets fed up and gives in
Yeah, my day got slightly better cos everyone went out...peace!!! Well, not really cos I just started playing my music louder.
I might practice my guitar later, my friend recomended some easy songs to play. And I need easy lol
Had the Ramones 'The KKK took my baby away' stuck in my head today. I wanna learn it!!! But I wont be able to. Im still trying to learn 'Sheena is a punk rocker'. I suck Ah well, I just have to practice more!!!

psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Jul 8, 2005
You don't suck! You just need practice. No one is born a guitar wizard, except for maybe Jimi Hendrix. Seriously though, keep at it and you'll be good at every song you try.
And yeah, I do like your new name. It suits you quite well!
Will see if I can think of any cool songs for you to practice to as well. Meanwhile, have a great weekend!

Wow, I just learned the beginning of Motley Crue's 'Dont go away mad'. Well, a litle bit of it. But still, I'm so proud! Will keep practicing and see if i can bug someone into teaching me some stuff. I know enough guitarists!! Yeah, suggestions would be cool
>>And yeah, I do like your new name. It suits you quite well!<<
Thanks, I thought so too!
Have a nice weekend

I would suggest learning another Ramones tune, "Blitzkrieg Bop". it's not suppose dto be *too* intesively difficult. And it's cool.
I'll try to think of others.
How's things been? Any wild plans for this weekend?

Anti-everything Posted Jul 23, 2005
Heya. thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it. I just got the DVD of Rock 'N' Roll High School the other day, its quite funny in places. And it has the Ramones in.
Been away all week, I went on an adventure week (rock climbing, absailing, caving etc). Caving sucked, i bruised myself a lot (not that thats unusual, I'm clumsy ) and the week got cut short cos of a sickness bug passing round the group. I REALLY wanted to do the paintballing I wanted to shoot the people who'd been annoying me all week. And I've never been before
How have you been then?
Hidden
psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Jul 23, 2005
"Rock 'N' Roll High School is one of the films I own on video. Cool that you've gotten it!
Caving would have been cool. Paintballing is something I've never done, either. Too bad you missed it.
I've been OK, hiding out indoors mostly due to the heat, and a bit short on money at present because of that one paycheck that never cleared the bank... but I start a new temp position Monday so that will all be a thing of the past!

Anti-everything Posted Jul 26, 2005
Oh, good luck with your new job!
I thought caving would be cool to, but I didnt like it and sort of freaked out a bit. No-one noticed thankfully because it was dark. But I did start shouting at the instructor when I thought he was gonna drop me headfirst in mud....
I didnt hide from the sun and now I wish I had, cos I'm really burned! It hurts!
