Journal Entries
A short summary for your delectation!
Posted Nov 4, 2002
OK, so I've been here almost six months. Now, when said in cold hard terms like that, it really isn't that long, however it sure as anything seems it
I've met some really nice people who I wish I'd met in real life, and could see for real [perhaps I could, if I could get to a meet...if only they werent on a saturday ] I've also been mildly irritated by some people, though far too few for my liking, so I will have to go out and meet some more mildly disagreeable people!
I've had some interesting discussions, which have changed the way I approach a situation, and challenged me in one way or another. I've also found some cool places to linger and generally irritate the life out of people.
I've also learnt how to do some guide ml: the nearest thing I've ever got to programming, and I still delight in making that footnote work! I've dabbled in lots of different subjects, from philosophy to geography: and have two entries currently in peer review.
I've also taken part in several volunteer schemes: the ACEs and the 360 Buddies. I'm really enjoying both, though could probably partake far more in both schemes. This has also led me to chat to some of the higher echelons of this community: namely the Italics: who are so darned nice and blasted reasonable, it's unreal!
I've also burbled on for far too long, and am going to stop for before this becomes an award acceptance speech...'I'd also like to thank God...'
Too Late: It's Dagnabbit and flibbertigibbit from me, and Dagnabbit and flibbertigibbit from him.

Slightly Different...
Posted Sep 24, 2002
Another change in the norm!!
My previous journal entries have been generally quite introspective and thoughtful.
This time, however, it's different, I am asking for information on the Autogyro. I am currently helping to create a section on 360 on the Autogyro, in conjunction with Barry Jones's attempt to fly all the way round the world in an autogyro.
So, anyone reading this who knows anything about autogyros, or has written an entry on them to please drop a note or a link, so I can gather information.
Thank ye very much

A break in the norm...
Posted Aug 15, 2002
OK, I don't usually write journal entries about what is happening in my life, because it's usually boring beyond belief! But, today I received my A-Level grades, and I'm going to my first choice
I've got a deferred entry to do human geography at Leeds. I'm still working out what I'm doing for my year out, but it includes lots of working to earn some money
I'm a happy bunny

Creative Spark...
Posted Jul 1, 2002
OK, so I've had a creative spark that I felt I wanted to share with the rest of the world. However, it may not be very good, so don't laugh!
Media
Media: a world of "should-be's", "have-to's" and "needs-be's",
A pill sugar coated to hide it's barbs.
A troupe of perfect dancers, in form and shape,
Where those that rebel still manage to keep in step,
wearing their skins of sheep.
A view so distorted, on of ever-striving yet never achieving,
Newly improved, better quality, lower priced purely generic:
Pre-packaged, no assembly, or though necessary.
Of ever increasing standards, where the future is an 'improvement' of the past.
Voices urge you to be
Powerless, accept the current order, build foundations on shifting sands,
live a life filled with polystyrene packing, a society of actions, not words: 'Just Do It'.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
