The reason why pizza is called "Dave" is lost in the mysteries of time and hootoo... once upon a time, we needed a new name for something, can't remember what, and someone suggested we call it "pizza". This suggestion was unanimously approved, but left us with the vexed question, "what do we call pizza, to avoid confusion?" The answer we came up with for that was "Dave". Thus, the meat feast "Dave", the Four Seasons "Dave", the Siciliana "Dave", etc.
We did try to get various well-known companies to adopt the idea, but strangely I've yet to see a restaurant called "Dave Hut", or "Dave Express" yet...but the time will surely come.
Hope that's cleared up any confusion.

the thing in question If I remember correctwed we needed a name for and hence called 'pizza' was a dish made of boiling potato with onion and sausages

My "party ballooons" are firmly attached to me, between the legs. And I'm sure that most girls' "party balloons" are firmly attached to their chests...how come you managed to lose yours, 2legs?
