Yeah, I mean the place was completely silent; not a godawful taxi in sight and barely any tourists...

That might be due to the fact it's New York, the Americans are paranoid, tourists aren't encouraged aaand GWBush Jr has the nation gripped by the hand of fear?
Either that or the water tastes funny.

Surviving... French listenting tomorrow, but I guess you have too, if you're with the same exam board..so good luck to the both of us
I didn't get my A level subjects, and I'm still rather bummed about that. Yuck. I'm now doing chemistry instead of physics...hmm... maybe it'll grow on me.

Nope, we're most definately not on the same course, I have weeks to go before I have mine. I do have my ICT exam on Monday though, not much cause to panic.
Poor you, don't worry, Physics isn't too bad, and I'm sure you'll learn to love it, the charm of calculations, the fun in formulae and the urh, uhm, well, urh, the, urh, phfun, of, urh, physics...
Just so you can hate me, I got all my A-level choices. Sort of. Hm. I decided against doing Philosophy and Ethics as I didn't want to have to go to three different schools. Instead I'm doing at this school: Government and Politics, Psychology and English
And at Loreto College I'm doing Classics.
We have a presentation/awards ceremony tommorow, turns out I won't get anything for English as I'm in a 'mixed' set, even though I'm eligable. Ah well. No matter, I'll just have to be content with my certificate I got for Self Defence... Hm The parents are going to love this...

Oooh! In that case we've got the same ICT exam board! The WJEC one or something
No; physics is what I wanted. Yuckky chemistry. Oh well, my chem teacher loves me, so it should be alright!
I'm glad you got them all- it sucks when you don't Our school doesn't do the whole commuting thing properly yet... but look! We're doing two of the same courses! Yay! Classics and english langlit?
Awards ceremonies are a load of sh#t. Nobody in the crowd actually cares. Ah well, Nate, it's better than nothing. I'm sure the folks will be proud whatever

Ah heck, sorry, I misread your question. I had just been sitting in a stiflingly hot classroom, so it's understandable if I get a tad demented.
I'm doing English lit, as English lang wasn't available at our school. No matter.
There are 8 people online and not a single one of them wants to talk to me
I went to see Van Helsing the other day. It was as bad as I had hoped! They decided a middle aged Dutch Doctor wouldn't sell as well as a stupid pretty boy American. It was so bad it was good. I advise you see it.

Existential Elevator Posted May 24, 2004
Excuses, excuses...
So, how'd you find the ICT exam?
I'd like to have just done lang... I really don't get on well with lit. Most of the book choices at my school look rather boring, as usual.
I've already been told to watch it on the basis that "the werewolves are hot". ERm. Okay. Calm down Theresa. I'm still not entirely sold; think I'll have to be in the right frame of mind to want to watch it.. So many things on at the cimema...and they all look overstated.

The werewolves were hot if you like that sort of thing. ie. Obvious good looks.
I shall give you the reply I give to people who are daft enough to ask me that question
"I didn't find it, it was just there on the desk"
Heh. Actually, I didn't think it was terribly hard, touch wood

That still worries me. It really does. Perhaps because even a little facial hair is enough to put me off... hmmm...
That's a good one...
I thought it was rather easy. But thn the entire reason behind me taking the course was because I'd have to try incredibly hard not to get a good grade. Jeez, I used to check my teacher's worksheets...
