Ah well, you see, lots of things have brought me to this point!
First, I'm going through the usual "clear your wardrobe! Get a new hairstyle!" phase that is compulsory following a ......change in circumstances. (Blokes I believe go to strip clubs.)
Then we're only about 8 weeks from Showtime, which involves being on stage in underwear. So conversations at rehearsals are peppered with "I'm not eating carbs after 6pm" or "My personal trainer's a sadist! My abs are aching"
So it's on with the pre-breakfast jogs, and a bit of a spring clean of my system. (Yes I do know it's August).
Jogging before breakfast isn't as hellish as you might think - the thought of it is the worst part, but if you can get your body out the door before your brain has had time to wake up and go "What the....?" then it's easy. I tell myself I don't have to run far, I don't have to run fast, I don't even have to do it every day. Just do it.
The theory is that it kick starts the metabolism, so calories are burned off quicker during the day, plus doing it on an empty stomach means the body only has its fat reserves to use.
In practice, I find the rhythmic pounding is very good for shaking my thoughts into some sort of coherence, and the fresh morning air is rather uplifting!
So - food. No alcohol or fags. No tea or coffee. No dairy or wheat. I cleared out my stash of emergency bisuits in my office drawer, and left them as an anonymous gift by the signing in sheet. Wonder how long they'll last!
Just lots and lots of fruit and water, bit of grilled fish or sushi, salads. Green and herbal tea.
So far (half way through day 2) I have a slight headache, feeling a bit tired....but other than that OK!
Weighed in at 64 kg on Monday night. Will see what it is next Monday.

Kinda blew it last night with a couple of glasses of red wine.
My excuse being that trying to sing the lines "wriggling in the ante-room, jiggling in the dining room" whilst wearing a sequined boob tube and black suede mini skirt, fishnet tights and F***-me boots, in front of a room full of my peers, is a task accomplished more easily on the outside of a glass of alcohol.
Did make up for it with a jog this morning, though

mmmm boots
Anyhow , to my great astonishment I've discovered that after a few seriously stressfilled months and lots of falling of the eating wagon, I've not put on any weight since I stopped on my diet (queue Snoopy dance of joy).
Just wanted to share that with someone...
cheers ismarah
ps. will now go back to not hi-jacking other people's threads...

Well, rather diappointingly, the scales last night still showed 64kg
Bit disappointing given that I was out dancing 4 nights in a row, as well as the odd jog and bit of watching what I ate!
On the bright side - the South Beach diet website tells me that I only have to lose 4 lbs to be within the "healthy weight range", so that doesnt seem like too mammoth a task.

Fantastic going LuckyStar! Four pounds should be a doddle, if you're doing all that...
When I did my thing in January, I kept having to convert from kgs to lbs to st and DancingTree really wasn't helping... So when I told him that I'd lost 7 pounds, after an initial 3.5 I was really pleased. I was even more pleased the day after when I realised I'd said pounds when I meants kilos! My 7lbs were 7kgs and that my dear, is 14lbs... and all I did was not eat anything with refined sugar in it for 3 months. No exercise at all, and Saturdays were binge days.
I can't believe I'm actually talking about my weight online where hundreds, thousands of people may see it! V unlike me...

s'OK, it's my journal - I doubt if hundreds and thousands of people read it
Just come from the hairdressers - dark chestnut brown with a kind of Liza Minnelli fringe thing going on....

Ooh la lah!
Anyhow, gotta run, as I've suddenly got an agency interview at 3 and a job interview through that agency on Thursday...
And I almost managed not to be at all triumphant when I typed that!
Cheers ismarah (who needs a haircut and colour)

Thanks sweetie, will email soon.
I got some great comments on my new hair tonight at dancing...
Mind you, in fishnet tights, Ugg boots, black velvet shorts and a mad Pucci-swirly mac I do cut rather a striking figure....

To my mind, that description sounds fairly funky! (in my vocabulary, funky = good)
So I'm guessing the show is 'Cabaret?'?

The show is 25 numbers from different shows, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this group in Luxembourg.
We do Mein Herr and Dont Tell Mamma from Cabaret ( in ugly beige underwear, although I struck a deal with the choreographer whereby I'm allowed to wear a very fetching lacy teddy)
Steam Heat (black trousers and pink Tshirt)
One from A Chorus Line in gold sparkly tails.
Happy Feet and a Gershwin Medley from Stepping Out in blue sparkly tails, top hat and cane
Broadway Baby in sequinned boob tube and black suede miniskirt.
So lots of quick changes going on !
