Did you really jack off in a sock...?
Reget to admit it, but I read the whole of Metamorphosis, the Trial, the Castle. There was this girl, see? She told me that Mervyn Peake was funny too.
But what crap that Kafka-piece is. I ought to go kick some out of Shazz, for digging it up...

Reminds me of my friend "K". After stopping over one night, we got to talking about whether she'd gone 'manual' whilst driving. She said she hadn't. A couple of hours later, she phoned me up; she'd crashed her car. Seems she'd arrived at the moment of truth whilst stuck in slow-moving traffic and her foot just slipped off the clutch, gazelling the car forward into the one in front. She said she felt a little odd when she swapped insurance information with the other driver and had to shake his hand.

I already did.
You're a consummate Lurker, too.
The wonderful thing about having you guys as a furtive readership is that I can happily delude myself that there are dozens more I don't know about.
Hey, K's story absolutely must be told! Once Boots sorts her latest life-lurch out, I plan to try resurrect the Pseudo-Chaucer thing. This tale could graft to the yummy-mummy...
...You don't have the slightest idea what I'm talking about, do you?

You're right, I don't. I'm sure it'll be entertaining though.
I could tell the tale myself, but it'd likely get the same treatment as Innocence Lost. As if a sockful of semen ever hurt anyone.

Hermione/Perdita need to be the same person, one name.
Then the yummy-mummy is about to get tailgated by the K-character.
You get it?
I think this could be good, but it would ideally have a different author for every piece in a ring of six to ten pieces.
Tall order, to get the co-operation. Maybe needs specific commissions. You're one the Editor's relying on, and this is the first thing you've suggested that looks a fit.

All right, I'm going to write out the K story, longhand and fancied up. Give me a few hours/days.

Style won't matter. See what we get, then think about adjustments for continuity, yeah?
(The Old Git was originally created in sport with Ben. I said I could write any character she suggested, she said something hyperspecific like a Radio3 presenter who didn't like children or something. This is what happened)

I hate these bl**dy plagiarising global broadcasting enterprises, I really do.
Well, we'll just have to consider the merits of breaking all the guidelines of yet another literary competition, won't we? (Exhibiting creativity never seems to impress these types, though, for some reason)
The other shocking revelation, Trout, is that hootoo's favourite former flowermonger now knows what you do in your hosiery. Still, not my problem...
