with dad, everything had to be done yesterday and 2 words that didn't exist to him, was "sorry" and "apologise", because HE never did anything wrong and WAS always right, HE never had to say those words

I was always told what I could and couldn't do,never asked, so I never volunteered for anything

according to my dad, I could not even wipe the paste off properly, on the trestle board thingy, when he wallpapered, err! damp cloth, but anything I did!, was not the correct way for him

when I moved in with the "ex", he said who wallpapered, I said I DID! "you can't wallpaper" you never asked me! you always told me I couldn't, he was gobsmacked

nah! he never saw any of the families side of things, only his version, one side to the coin etc, so to be honest, I don't miss him one little bit, since a kid, I took all his flack, so it kept it away from my mam and sister.
When I moved out, shortly after, my sister said now I know what you've put up with for years,because I'm getting it now
I didn't hate the bloke, blood and all that, but I was mighty fed up of him

Well space can do wonders. We all have rows and disagreements with family and getting space from each other can really help at times. family that threy are, they can still do your head in.

Hopefully things got better when you moved out? Not for your sister it seems though.

he was in his own world, his rules, no compromise - a sad person, in real fact, throughout his life from a kid(according to mam)he was very lonely(too much to write about)
his personality was none existent due to his life in general

That's sad. Wonder what had happened him as a child to lead to that sort of behaviour.

apparently, his dad died while he was in single figures of age(born in Stoke area of country)and up here, he only had his sister and that was like the irresistible force against the immovable object, they were both of the same, no humour etc etc and neither was ever wrong

I'm never wrong...not because I'm stubborn I'm just so brilliant that reality changes to fit my point of view.
