Hello love!! smiley - hug

Now then, "lost conversation" smiley - smiley
The thing is, AR, once you`ve posted them, they stay on your space. No-one can remove them, they are there for posterity!
What I suspect is happening, is that you aren`t looking far enough back. For example, your latest conversations are immediately to hand, as you know. To access earlier ones, you click on "more conversations", at the bottom of your page. To go further back, click on "older postings", and so on..even further back, keep clicking on "older postings", at the bottom of each page.Eventually, you`ll come to where you first started.
So...what you are looking for is there somewhere smiley - biggrin
Was one of the ones you lost from Lady Scott?
I checked back through your postings, and she is there!!

Hope you sort it out, if not, tell me and I`ll have a look for you.

I`m now on 6 Brewers yeast daily, so I expect great things smiley - smiley

I share your concern re Dancer, from what I can make out, his is not an "active" role, but the general situation is very disturbing, it seems as though peace in that area is an impossible dream. I hope I`m wrong, but the fanatics on both sides seem not to want any sort of compromise, but compromise is surely the only way to avoid out and out conflict. We will see.
Talk soon

Hi dear smiley - fullmoon I have lots to tell you but I want to go and hear Newsnight. I have had to check on your page as I did not understand how to do it, and I actually replied to two that I had not replied to as I thought I had "lost" them. I obviously did not do it correctly. with a big smiley - hug Sleep Well. AR1 smiley - schooloffish

Very dear smiley - fullmoon, Yesterday I was still too emotional to talk about the meeting at the Mental Health Clinic sensibly so I did not write. The position is that the Team have not accepted my proposal about a solution as to who can handle the responsibility for caring for my son and brother. So the decision was made that I should move out of the picture and let others get on with it. It is very hard to accept that but I know that I must. I have a wonderful idea that I would like to live next to the sea, being able to savour and enjoy all its moods and nuances. I wonder if such a beautiful place exists within reasonable distance of where I live? It would be great if my son and my friends could come and visit me occasionally It is hard having been a carer for 32 years to suddenly be, as it were, cast aside. On the other hand, I know that I am no longer up to doing the job effectively and responsibly. Everything is such an effort, and I seem to move from crisis to crisis, which are mostly self-inflicted due to my state of health. So hopefully I shall be able to accept their decision in the spirit in which it was made, which I am sure took all our future wellfare into account. So my dear friend, now I must start looking for somewhere to live out my eventful life.
I do hope that the brewers yeast is being helpful. I know my increased dose is helping me, but some people cannot take yeast. so remember that. I send you a great many affectionate smiley - hugs and hope you have a very happy and good weekend. Your affectionate AR1 smiley - schooloffish.
PS You have no idea how consoling it has been having you to "talk" and share my problems with.Thank you so much for everything you have done for me.

Dear AR1 smiley - hug

I can well understand your feelings about the decision regarding the responsibility for caring for your son and brother. You had obviously prepared a proposal which you felt was a viable solution.
Now that 32 years of devoted caring are coming to an end, it must seem strange and, in a way, hurtful. As if what had gone before counts for little. But of course, this couldn`t be further from the truth, which, I have no doubt, is fully appreciated by the Team who considered the case.
As you say, ALL of your futures must have been of the utmost concern, and from what you tell me, you understand and are coming to accept this. It is easy for me to sit here and voice opinions on "what is best for all concerned", but I truly feel that you can only go on so long before the level of care that you would wish to give becomes almost impossible to achieve.
Better the decision is made now, dear friend, hard though it must be.smiley - hug
So, you are about to enter yet another phase in your eventful life, and are thinking of a place by the sea. I wonder if this is something you have thought about for some time?
A big thing, AR, to *up sticks* and away, and I am sure that you will discuss it in depth with friends and family. The idea sounds wonderful, and is obviously something you would really like to do.
So I wish you well, if anyone deserves a Haven, you do. Please take your time though, rush forward slowly, as they say smiley - smiley
No doubt we will talk about this again, when your current situation is clearer....I do like to be kept informed !! smiley - biggrin

We are off tomorrow for a week-end with Adam and Moira (his partner) in Yorkshire, so some good weather would be welcome, if you can arrange it!!
In the meantime, take care love, and I sincerely hope you can come to terms with the changes about to be imposed on you, and go forward from there in the spirit that you do everything else, with courage.

Hi smiley - fullmoon, I see you have returned from your weekend. I hope you enjoyed it and the weather was good to you. I have had a very busy and eventful week. Yesterday I celebrated my 74th birthday. It really was a great day. The children phoned me from Australia, South Africa and America where three of them live. Lots of cards, flowers and phone calls.
On Tuesday we went to look at retirement homes. Completely by accident (I prefer to think it was my guardian angel or the Holy spirit!!) we "discovered" the most fantastic little seaside resort near Margate, with a perfect flat suitable for me, overlooking the sea. If only.... but if it happens it really will be a dream come true. As you rightly surmise I have been aware for quite a long time that the present arrangement of caring was simply not working out; so I have been thinking about alternatives and what I would like to happen. So hopefully now this new plan of accommodation will come true and I shall be able to end my days overlooking the sea which I love.
I have not even had time to watch the golf. Dear Sam Snead. What a wonderful life he had. And I hear that Colin Montogomerie is doing so well. It would be great if he could win the British Open this year, although apparently the young British golfer - I think his name is Justin Rose is predicted to do well.
I am afraid that I am not a football fan so will give the coverage a miss for the next few weeks.
Keep well. Take care. An affectionate smiley - hug AR1 smiley - schooloffish

A belated "Happy Birthday to you! smiley - hug
It sounds as if you had a really nice day smiley - smiley
The retirement home you discovered would appear to be everything you wanted, let`s hope that everything falls into place! It would be, as you say, a dream come true!
Keep an eye out for Justin Rose, he`s going to go from strength to strength. One day he`ll win a major, which is something poor old Monty is desperate to achieve, but which keeps evading him.
We had a lovely week-end in Yorkshire, a really nice break.
Must go now....falling behind on some drawings I`m working on.

Glad you`ve retrieved all your lost conversations smiley - smiley

Very dear smiley - fullmoon of direct lupine descent, Thank you for your birthday wishes. Lady Scott says her mother reverses the figures of her age so says she is 47!(Her mother is apparently my age) I really would not like those years again. I wonder what age I would like to repeat?. I think that probably the first five years of my marriage to darling Dicky-bird were the happiest of my life. Except of course that darling K. fell ill then. I really do not think that one can go back. One lives life and makes memories and one goes forward - ever hopeful and happy (thanks to friends like you!) I shall keep a beady eye on Justin Rose. Do you think he will be another Tiger Woods? The South Africans are really good players. But what has happened to English cricket and soccer. I am amazed at the Irish fiasco. One wonders whether management or players are more important. Where I swim there is a big signboard up with the names of all the management people and their photos. I do not know one of them but all the swimming pool attendants and the people at reception know me, greet me and are so solicitous of me. There seems to be something cock-eyed somewhere in corporate approach. Or perhaps I am just a renegade!! Are you playing golf this w/e? Have fun, take care and a big smiley - hug from AR1smiley - schooloffish
PS Incidentally it is a flat I was looking at. Although I probably should be looking at retirement homes!!. If I get it, and if Paper Lady and her husband ever come over, you and Shirley will have to come and stay with me. I feel you are my very special friends from h2g2 and it would be great to have a get-together at the seaside. Incidentally have you any ideas on a wheelchair with big balloon wheels which can be wheeled across the sand and which could tip me over into the ocean? Or perhaps I could wait for the tide to take me out. The possibilities and permutations are endless.!!

Hello AR smiley - hug
Didn`t play this week-end, just as well, the weather was very iffy !!
Did watch the final round of the Volvo tournament, though, the winner, Anders Hanson, a young Dane, thoroughly deserved his victory.

There will certainly be another Tiger Woods, there always is. The game, like everything else, moves forward, and perhaps in another year or two someone will emerge. But Tiger is going to be around for a while yet!!
Only thing I can think of to aid you in putting out to sea is a couple of floats slung alongside your chair, sea-plane fashion. Might need a bit of development though, stability might be a problem smiley - biggrin
As regards the Irish fiasco, well it seems that we are not hearing the full story. And to be quite honest, I dont really care one way or another. There are so many stories nowadays concerning overpaid footballers and managers, it`s as if the whole world revolves around them. Things aint what they used to be !!
Now Golf......that`s different!!!smiley - biggrin

Talk to you soon

Very dear smiley - fullmoon Here I am wonbdering why I have not heard from you and I see that I have not answered your last posting. Can't think why. I did not think the floats were the ideal answer!! I think there MUST be something better than that. And you have had your wish or rather your prediction has come true and Justin Rose has at last won his first - but hopefully not his last- tournament.
Sorry I was rude about the bikini, but honestly I do think that smiley - fullmoons of direct lupine descent look better "au naturel". So come one, be a sport, give all your fans the happiness they seek and come out and join the street party tonight in your full lupine glory. And bring Kevin if he is free. Don't worry if you are not a royalist. There is a special place set aside for republicans!! With a great many affectionate smiley - hugs, strokes (a la Amy, paper lady) between the eyes and anything else which puts you in a good mood and will restore your equanimity your loving old wheelchair-bound AR1 smiley - schooloffish

Hi AR smiley - hug
Presumably you are now safely back in your chair! Might I suggest seat-belts..smiley - winkeye
Well, it`s back to reality once more..holiday over smiley - sadface
I`ve got a lot of ultra complicated and fiddly drawing to do.. most frustrating as I can`t get the proper information I need, and the client keeps changing his mind! All together, I have three jobs on the go at the same time, and seem to be getting nowhere with any of `em.
I have decided that, in the "great plan of things" it matters not one iota, so will soldier on in my own good time.
And, if it`s not raining in the morning...I`m going to have a round of golf smiley - smiley
So they can all like it or lump it smiley - biggrin

I`m wondering how the quest for a retirement home, or appartment, is going? Don`t suppose you`ve had much chance to look around yet.
You must keep me posted on that one!

Talk again soon

Take care

Hi dear smiley - fullmoon, Yes I am safely belted back in but what an experience!!. What are your designing? I hope to have something to ask you to do. I thought it would be a great idea to have a HUGE international wedding reception for Shea and TJ. And so I have asked Titania if she would kindly do the technical part of whatever has to be done (which I think is a link?) and then I said I would ask you if you would design a clock for the invitation to show the times in the various parts of the world when they are actually getting married. Which happens to be 11a.m. Eastern Daylight time on July 6th. One would need to have the time in Australia, both coasts of America, The middle East and of course the UK. In fact I think that probably it would be better to have a series of small clocks either at the bottom or at the top of the invitation which would mean that wherever we are we can charge our RL smiley - bubbly in order to participate in a virtual wedding receiption. Even if it is the middle of the night - which would be a novel experience. What do you think of the idea? And could you fit it in with all the other design you are doing? Incidentally is it cheeky to ask what you are designing?
My accommodation plans are going slowly ahead. I went for a long drive down the coast on Tuesday. I have seen something at Watergate-on-sea but it is pretty pricey and too much at my age. Anyway, I am determined that I shall not rush it, because it is going to be traumatic - both having to leave him and having to make new friends. Anyway, that is the state of play. I want to go and watch the French open now. So bye for now. smiley - hug AR1 smiley - schooloffish

Hi AR !!
Long time getting back to you, but things are a bit hectic here.
I think the idea for a Wedding Invite is great. Unfortunately, I don`t think I can be of any help! I wouldn`t have any idea how to include a series of clocks onto the invite, I`m not even sure it can be done. My skills with GuideML language are non-existent, I`m afraid, I`ve never had the time to get to grips with it smiley - sadface
Whoever is going to create the link is the person to include any features like a clock, or some other time-related info, as they will have the*original*, as it were, and be able to edit it.
All beyond me, I`m afraid.
The only thing I can think of is for them to include a reference to the "Time Server"...a device which allows you to compare times across all the various zones ..I just copied it from the website, as many have done. Alternatively, perhaps just a list of various areas, with the relevent "wedding times" could be included.
Either way, it would need to be done by the originator, if you see what I mean.
Sorry I can`t be more help....
Must go now
smiley - hug

Dear smiley - fullmoon of direct lupine descent.smiley - smiley Thank you for the reply and I am sorry that you cannot do it. It seems to be more difficult than I thought.
