You're energy levels are impressive. You've absorbed a lot of new information and skills since you joined. And contributed a lot of insightful and humourous postings. A lot of newbies crack under the 'pwessure' but you seem to be riding the emotional roller coaster of getting into h2g2. Your contribution to the creation of AGG/GAG (it was your idea!) is a rare effort from a relative newbie and one which several people are very thankful for.
Yes, h2g2 is a roller coaster!

Finding the balance between humility and enthusiasm is hard to do. Like me, you tend to 'talk' and assume everyone will recognise your voice and what intention is behind the words. But the use of written words for speech is often confusing, especially with the English-educated and those for whom Eng is actually a second language. I've been here just a year myself and still riding the emotional waves like a rodeo amateur with both feet in my mouth sometimes.
The secret, if there is one, is to just keep moving forward. And take a break and rest up from time to time. Forgive yourself your own transgressions, never take anyone too seriously, and give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
