I don't need to see a doctor or anything, I mean, it's not interfering with the way I'm running my life right now... if anything is interfering it's the week-old pile of dishes in the sink that I haven't got around to doing yet!

I can't wait until spring break- some sun will do me some good!

Get a nice bottle of wine, and some good friends around, tell them to bring something and have a bit of a girly's night in!

but if that fails, a bottle of something nice and a hot bath!

oooOOOOoooo stuff the dishes, they'll be ok in the sink

Dear Scandrea

Sorry to hear about your blues. Yes, I agree with everyone else - it is the time of year. Those grey wet days get everyone down. Just think how quickly the times goes though - it will soon be spring again. Already here in England we have daffodils and snowdrops poking through the soil. In the south west, where it is much milder, some of the daffoldils are even in flower and their yellow faces can't help but make you feel better.

I usually suffer from SAD every time the clocks go back in the Autumn. Last year though I was visiting my son in Australia and by the time I got back in mid November I had to get into Christmas things, so it didn't happen. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all afford to go to Australia every October?!! Personally it will be a long time before I can afford to do it again.

Some people recommend sitting in front of a light box a few hours every day - but the wine and video sounds more fun!

Hope you feel better soon

*cuddles Scandrea* I am personally very fond of grey skies and coldness and rain and stuff, but ah well. I hope the spring time helps to cheer you up.

Apollyon - Grammar Fascist

Seasonally affected disorder...I've heard of that, but never experienced it. Or maybe I have, but mildly. I find video games are a good way to beat the blues, but if you don't fancy that...Sorry, the best advice has already been given.

I suggest getting friends round, watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, or Brazil or something similar, and a 12" joint

I think it's just ups and downs- last week I was up because I had done well on my projects and put all my applications in for graduate school, this week I'm a little down because of going home and seeing what the thieves did to my grandparents house (pictures), school starting, a friend of mine moving to Wyoming... take your pick there! I'll bounce back, and quickly if I can get a pair of skis on!
