BC- the beauty isn't in the layers of sediment themselves- it's in what you can do with it!
Although the glassy green tektites (lumps of melted material from the meteorite) at the bottom of the core are beautiful in their own right!

I don't know if Dr. Peck can be described as "sleepy." Super-involved in his work, yes, but sleepy...
Well, maybe 12 hour shifts on a drill rig does that to you!
