It is a few minutes before 6 p.m. GMT-6 in Louisiana, in case you were wondering. The LSU game starts at 6. This a big, important, much anticipated game.
I still have a lot to do around the house, especially in the kitchen. Still working on the nanowrimo novel. There isn't a word count posted on that site yet, because I've been writing on paper. Actually, it is in a big wire bound notebook with a purple plastic cover.
Can't wait for the four day weekend, next week. Really need some time off.

Thank you.
Even if I don't make it to 50,000 words in 30 days, it's still the longest single work I've written so far.

It's hard enough coming up with enough words for a journal post every day so all respect to you and with the novel writing.

I really wanted to write a novel this month, but my health problems just seemed to keep multiplying.

I'm starting to feel better now, though the doctor wants me to hold off on swimming until the clot disappears from my leg. Swimming might loosen it, and it might travel to my lungs or heart as an embolism. I've just begun taking a new blood pressure medication, as my blood pressure has driffted much higher since I left the hospital. I still seem to be in recuperation mode. Maybe in another month I'll be moving faster.

No writing in the swimming pool for you.
Did the doctor give you an estimate of time it might take to make the clot disappear?

Yes, he did, but it's fairly vague: two to three months. Maybe my calf won't get swollen after early January, a sign that the clot is gone. My doctor has indicated that I can resume swimming when the clot is gone. I'm going to be a pest about that. I want to resume my active life, though at a less strenuous pace at first.
