The eyes mean someone is logged into the site at the time. It doesn't necessarily mean they are reading a particular page.

More often than not, it means I left the online list or conversation gadget open when I went to bed.

I tried four times to reply to this. By the time the server let me in, I forgot what I was going to post.

What you need to do when they (this time it IS the proverbial "THEY") finally let u in and you've forgotten what the conversation's about, just scroll down to see the message that you're replying to.

I have had conversations that lapsed for weeks at a time because the other person was travelling that much.

the coolest thing about it is the way you always have a page full of reminders about the conversations.

The conversation gadget is very useful for searching for an old conversation.

I don't want to think about how many threads are buried in four years of backlog on my page.
