Let's hope treatment is able to slow it!

That, at least, looks do-able. To slow it.
I guess I should try to go to sleep again.

Oh, JEllen, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'd hoped it was all gone.
At a loss for words, really, but thinking of you and your brother.

I didn't see anything in the article on etiology (viral, bacterial, genetic, toxicological). If they say 'genetic', a predisposition doesn't necessarily rule out other etiology.
Sympathies. Having been acquainted with a few people with the condition, I have some idea how emotionally devastating it can be.

JEllen
And feel free to talk anytime to me personally about it, on that thread we chat on, on my space.
I feel for you.

It must be the double message of free of cancer - then not free - that hurts even more than the first diagnosis - if that's possible. All good wishes to you and to your brother, Ellen, (and to his family? and yours). I hope he isn't entirely crushed by it all, and I hope you can get some strength from these messages and the love they express towards you.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes.
Susanne, good to see you back.
Terri, glad your computer is working again.
PCandy, thanks for the email.
Jabberwock, yeh, you hit the nail on the head -- it was thinking he was okay and then finding out he is not that makes it doubly hard.
Effers and Edward, well, I have officially entered another depressive period. Sleeping mostly.
