My jaw almost dropped during the first few seconds of that trailer. Why do British men singing a touching song on a beach get to me like that?

Seeing as how the director is woman, it would be sooooo damn cool if the movie was a knockout and she got an Oscar.

I don't care if the director's a cat. I want to be entertained. Maybe even enlightened.

The guys in it look easy on the eyes, so there's potential.

But I'm afraid the more I think about this, the worse it might be. I mean, come on. Trying to make a musical out of Beatles music?

Now, I'm not saying anything against the Beatles ... but honestly ... there's a screen play that uses their catalog of work and also makes sense and retains an audience's interest?

It's been done very successfully already on film - The Magical Mystery Tour. Apart from the love of money, I see no point in making another.
